Chairman Nick Higgs is expecting a huge turn out at Wembley later this month, attempting to secure promotion back to the Football League. With Bristol Rovers making the playoff finals Wembley is expected to experience an influx of fans, making their way from every corner of the country.
Defeating Forest Green the Rovers will now go head to head with Grimsby Town o May 17th.
“I think it is the ideal final for both clubs, for the Conference and for the neutral,” said Higgs.
“The two clubs have a huge potential in both fan-bases and I’d be surprised if the attendance record isn’t broken. I hope people will be coming out of the woodwork in their droves to follow the club and to enjoy some success.
“The last time we went to Wembley we took 40,000 and I’d love it if we could match or even take a few more this time around. There is so much riding on this game because it is so important for us to get back to the Football League at the first attempt.”
Rovers fans will be returning to Wembley for the first time since securing promotion to League One in 2007, a day that saw 40,000 Rovers supporters travel eastbound along the M4.
