Should We Bring Back the Sidecar?
Of late we have seen more and more elaborate vehicles adorn the UK roads, with cars like the Ferrari limousine and the Starline party bus being the nation’s favoured mode of transport. However, seldom do we see what used to be a prominent feature on the roads; the sidecar.
Arguably made popular by the infamous Two Fat Ladies and Wallace and Grommet, the sidecar has both practical and comical associations.
As a result we thought we would dig deeper into the subject of this vehicle type, delving into the extraordinary, outrageous and damn right idiotic sidecars ever made.
The Ferrari Sidecar
As you know at Limo Broker we are strong campaigners for the Ferrari brand, particularly intrigued by inventive models. However, we are quite unsure about how we feel when looking at this image.
It seems that whoever built this was unable to afford the steep price tags of cars like the 360 and California, instead buying a motorcycle and building a small-scale sidecar that looks like a Ferrari. Although impressive in its own right we are pretty sceptical it will encourage the same response as a roaring Ferrari supercar.
The Piano Sidecar
Although a little eccentric we cannot deny the effort put into this sidecar, and while we may not understand the purpose behind it the creation nonetheless makes up giggle.
This is one for all the mini hippies out there, the VW sidecar. Appearing to be a bit of a gimmick this particular model is quite a modern take on what we are used to in the side vehicle, a motor that would no doubt turn heads when out on the roads.
Let us know what you think, is there room to bring back such vehicles? Leave your comments below.
