High Wycombe based coach and bus insurance specialists, SBP Chapman, will now trade as Giles Insurance Brokers in a recent company rebrand. The specialised transport insurance broker that boasts more than 30 years of experience in the sector was acquired by Giles in November 2008.

Despite the acquisition, the company continued to trade under its original name, SBP Chapman, and has only now made the decision to “fully integrate” the brand into Giles.

Branch director at High Wycombe, George Byrant, said: “SBP Chapman Stevens has been providing insurance solutions for coach and bus companies since 1982 and we did not want to lose that industry association when we became part of the Giles group.

“As one of the top five independent insurance brokers in the UK, the Giles name is strongly associated with a wide range of insurance areas and we want to harness the extensive buying power of the group to ensure we continue to secure the most suitable insurance solutions for both our new and existing customers.”

The new Giles Insurance Brokers website explains the company history and objectives as: “Whatever your insurance needs, from individuals through to industry, our specialist teams have all the skills, expertise, and commitment to getting you the best insurance policy money can buy.

“No matter what size of business you are, we know what it’s like because we’ve been there.”

The Giles group has been in operation since 1967 delivering insurance advice and risk mitigation services to a range of UK businesses.
