Last week’s NATO Summit in Cardiff and Newport, Wales will go down in history as one of the largest gatherings of international leaders ever held on British soil. With attendees including President Obama, Chancellor Merkel and Presidente Hollande – along with leaders and senior ministers from around 60 other countries – organisers knew they would need to get their hands on a fleet of fantastic and reliable vehicles to support the event.
Putting their trust in British design out their for the whole world to see, HM Government chose luxury car brand Jaguar Land Rover to supply vehicles for the event – showcasing their excellent design, engineering and manufacturing to all the delegates present. The company supplied a fleet of 135 Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles for the event, which ran from 4-5th September at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport.
As one of the UK’s biggest exporters – generating around 85% of its revenue from exports and investing over £3.5 billion in its products and facilities in the UK in 2014 – Jaguar Land Rover were the perfect partners to support this elite international event, showing important leaders from all around the world the strength and quality of the British luxury car industry. With the fleet boasting some of the company’s finest vehicles such as Jaguar XJs, XFs, XF Sportbrakes, Land Rover Discoveries and Land Rover Vogues, delegates at the NATO summit can’t have failed to have been impressed.
