Rapper Bow Wow sued over unpaid limo hire bill

Rap star Bow Wow is facing a bill of $4,000 after a limo hire company took the music performer to court over an unpaid bill. This recent lawsuit marks the second time the 25-year-old rapper has been on the receiving end of a court order this year as Bow Wow was sued earlier in 2012 and ordered to pay $90,000 for a tour bus he’d hired but failed to pay for.

The most recent lawsuit saw a limousine rental company in Georgia take the rap star to court over after Bow Wow ran up a bill for transport hire with the company, but left without paying the firm the money he owed. After the rapper failed to turn up for the court appearance last week, it’s been reported that the judge issued a default judgement ordering Bow Wow, real name Shad Gregory Moss, to settle the bill totalling $4,000.

Sources close to the rapper, who has been performing professionally since the age of 13, say he’s attempting to get on top of his finances after a succession of bad business ventures. The rapper and actor first burst onto the music scene with his debut album, Beware the Dog, under the stage name Lil’ Bow Wow in 2000. He’s since dropped the “Lil’” and is now known simply as Bow Wow.

However it seems Bow Wow wasn’t going to let the recent lawsuit over the unpaid limo hire bill get him down, as he played a sell-out concert with Keri Hilson in Ghana as part of the Underrated World Tour last weekend.

Kylie forgets the lyrics during Anti-Tour performance

Kylie Minogue’s K25 Anti-Tour to celebrate 25 years in the pop music business takes a novel approach as it features none of her hits, but instead two hours of B-Sides, demos and little known album tracks. However it seems that some of the tracks are so unknown, that even the pop singer herself is unsure of the lyrics to the songs as it emerged the Aussie star forget the words during a performance in London this week.

It’s been reported that the 43-year-old singer dried during her performance of the track, Give Me Just a Little More Time. Kylie was apologetic following the disastrous rendition of the cover, admitting to the audience that she’d “murdered” the song, before thanking them for helping her out with the words and singing along.

The incident was made all the more cringe-worthy for the former Neighbours star as she dedicated the song to her ex manager, Pete Waterman, who also happened to be in the audience.

Luckily, the pop princess has loyal and adoring fans who didn’t seem to mind the minor hiccup with the lyrics during the sell-out gig at London’s Hammersmith Apollo this week.

The K25 Anti-Tour only had three dates in the UK so demand for tickets, which were priced at £79 each, was fierce with all dates selling out in a matter of minutes.

Pussycat Doll settles her limo hire bill

New Pussycat Doll member, Chrystina Sayers, found herself at the centre of a disagreement in Toronto, Canada last week after a limo chauffeur who’d been hired to transport her and the band on a recent trip revealed he’d yet to receive payment from the pop star’s team.

The girl band member enlisted the services of John Arsenov, the owner and operator of Amberlea Executive Limouisne Service, while visiting Hogtown, Toronto between February 24-26th, running up a bill of $2,000.

Chrystina Sayers is the latest member of the girl group, joining the band last year after winning the TV search to find a new singer for the Pussycat Dolls.

However after chasing the Pussycat Doll’s promoter for payment several days after the job had taken place, the limo hire boss went to the press for help, with the local Toronto newspaper running a story on the unpaid limo bill. The limousine operator also contacted the police with regard to the incident who.

The matter has now been resolved, with the Pussycat Doll’s promoter, Neil Johnson, settling the $2,000 which was left owing. Chrystina Sayer’s representative revealed it was a matter for the promoter to resolve, and nothing to do with the singer herself.

Limo hire boss Mr Arsenov says he let his guard down when taking on the job chauffeuring the pop star and the rest of the band and didn’t insist on a credit card payment up front, which is usual procedure.

Maybach featured in Jay-Z and Kanye West video set for auction

A highly customised Maybach vehicle as seen in the music video for the single Otis from an collaboration from two music heavyweights, Kanye West and Jay-Z, will go under the hammer next week in New York, with part of the proceeds of the sale being donated to Save the Children and the organisation’s efforts to help youngsters in East Africa.

The 2004 Maybach 57 would have cost in the region of $375,000 when bought new, but after undergoing a unique customisation at the hands of the rap stars, which saw them remove doors and other parts of the luxury car with the use of blow torches and saws, the Maybach is now estimated to fetch between $100,000 and $150,000 when it goes to auction on March 8th in NYC.

While the Maybach doesn’t resemble its original condition after its makeover at the hands of American music stars, Kanye West and Jay-Z, the vehicle is a one-off and entirely exclusive so not surprisingly, interest in this unique car is expected to be great.

Kanye West and Jay-Z came together last year to create a concept album, Watch the Throne, off which the new single Otis, featuring the Maybach car, is released. The duo are also scheduled to tour the UK in May and June, with extra dates being added due to popular demand.
