Considered as the most sought-after luxury car brand, Bentley has launched a new Continental GT – and it certainly oozes style and luxury.
The Grand Tourer was released earlier this year in the UK and has now been launched in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and soon throughout Southeast Asia.
Sarah Simpson, Regional Director of the UK and Asia Pacific of Bentley Motors, says:
“The Bentley Continental GT is a model that we are immensely proud of and since in the first generation model was launched in 2003, it has become our most successful model in history.”
The New Features
The Bentley coupé, starting from £160,000, manages to look both classic and contemporary with a number of new and improved features compared to the last generation. These include:
- A brand new, enhanced version of the carmaker’s 6.0-litre, twin-turbocharged W12 TSI engine that produces 626bhp and 900Nm of max torque
- It has a new dual-clutch with eight-speed transmission
- A top speed of 207mph that can race from 0-62mph in an incredible 3.7. seconds for faster and more efficient gear changes
As for the interior, it’s muscular and premium with quilted leather on the seats and door panels. It also has drilled pedals and both Touring Specification (adaptive cruise control and head-up display) and City Specification (park assist and traffic sign recognition). Not only this, it also has an optional Rotating Display with a 12.3-inch touchscreen in a three-sided revolving unit with multiple displays.
According to Andrea Lipp-Allrutz, professor of transportation interior design at Reutlingen University, the extraordinary design “has managed to achieve a combination of tradition and the modern zeitgeist”.
The latest model is also rich in space with improved luggage capacity and a choice of 17 different paint colours, 15 leathers colours and 8 veneers to cater to all preferences.
The award-winning model has said to be the best Exterior Premium Brand and the best Interior at the prestigious German Design Awards.
