2019 Bentleys to receive special features
From new, unique anniversary models to special events, Bentley is marking its 100th year in business in various different ways. As a huge accolade for the brand, Bentley has this week announced that the cars of 2019, their 10-decade anniversary, will boast a string special features. According to relevant sources, all vehicles built in the year will have the ‘Centenary Specification’, ensuring that in years to come, these cars will be identifiable as ‘special’.
These features will include unique, exclusive badges, broidery, colours as well as keys.
Adding an air of finery and sophistication to the vehicles made within the year, 2019 Bentleys will have extra attention paid to them. However, die-hard fans are most looking forward to the Centenary Gold headrest logos and stitching; a change that will turn your average Bentley into a limited edition. highly sought-after motor. Providing the vehicles with what many are calling a ‘collector status’, the cars will also boast specially-designed treadplates a feature the ‘1919-2019’ display.
A splash of gold
However, these splashes of gold are not your conventional gold colour. Bentley has been very selective about the colour used, bringing the gold used on vintage marques like the 1919 EXP 2 and 1929 ‘Birkin’ Blower back to life. Said to be ‘a refined metallic gold’, the shade apparently catches the light in the same way as expensive jewellery does.
It goes without saying that these Bentleys will probably cost a tad more than your conventional marques. However, when it comes to this prestigious millstone, it appears no expense is being spared. Bentley are even releasing a book that will feature images of the greatest cars from the last century.
Let us know what you think, is Bentley going slightly overboard with the birthday celebrations? Or, does such a huge birthday warrant a big celebration?
