Wayne and Coleen Rooney took their new bundle of joy home for the very first time morning. The happy pair were accompanied by close family members as they left the hospital, with proud father Wayne carrying the newborn in a black baby carrier.
Coleen was all smiles as she left the Liverpool Women’s Hospital at 9:30 this morning, less than 24 hours after giving birth. The baby boy has been given the full name of Kai Wayne Rooney, and was born at 2.20pm yesterday afternoon weighing a healthy 8lb 2oz.
The first indication that baby Rooney was about to make an appearance came after Wayne failed to turn up for training with his club, Manchester United yesterday morning. Insiders say the footie ace didn’t leave Coleen’s side since being admitted to hospital on Sunday night.
It is believed that the baby had to be induced after going 9 days over its due date. Coleen gave birth in an NHS hospital, bucking the trend for private health care usually favoured by the WAGS.
After the exciting arrival, Wayne is expected to pull out of tonight’s football match when Manchester United take on CSKA Moscow as he settles into family life.
