The Cure to headline NME Big Gig at the O2

British goth veterans The Cure will headline the NME Big Gig at London’s O2 Arena on February 26th.

Roll up to the biggest gig in town in a hummer limo worthy of a bona fide rock star. Limo Broker has a top selection of chauffeur driven limousines available for hire at knock down prices. Regardless of where you’re travelling from, we can collect you and transport you to the O2 area in the lap of luxury.

The venue will play host to the enduring band, fronted by Robert Smith, who have been plying their trade with a distinctive and unique sound for almost three decades.

Trying to span their entire careers in one evening might be a challenge but it isn’t one they’ll shy away from, says Smith: “We’ll play some new stuff, some old stuff and some stuff from in between, trying to distil 30 years into the set!”

The news comes shortly after the announcement that the band will be named Godlike Geniuses at the NME Awards at Brixton Academy the night before their headline performance.

Fans travelling to the gig in their car hire will be hoping the boys don’t do too much celebrating on the night of ceremony as they will have a potential 20,000 people to play to the following night.

The Cure have released a number of hit singles including Love Cats and Boys Don’t Cry, finding fame on both sides of the Atlantic.
