Fans walk out of Whitney Houston gig in London while others demand refunds
Let’s hope Whitney Houston had a fast limo waiting to whisk her away last night after the singer disappointed a packed out crowd of fans at London’s O2 Arena with her lack lustre performance.
According to recent reports, hundreds of Whitney fans walked out of the concert in dismay after the 46-year-old singer failed to get through some of her best loved hits during the show. The diva was not oblivious to the problem and even apologised to the crowd saying, “She doesn’t want to come, my soprano friend. Sometimes the old girl sings, but not tonight.”
It’s been reported that the singer gave a very ropey rendition of one of her biggest hits, I Will Always Love You, and even gave up halfway through The Greatest Love Of All. Whitney’s backing singers were said to have carried the diva through several of her numbers.
Some fans are calling for a refund, while others say the I Look To You Tour should be cancelled immediately to prevent other people wasting their money on tickets.
Several dates of the tour had to be cancelled recently after the Bodyguard star was diagnosed with a respiratory problem. Her first concert back was at Birmingham earlier this month where she gave another doubtful performance.
Last night’s concert at the O2 Arena was one of three scheduled performances at the London venue.
