hakastandoff

hakastandoffTickets for the clash between Wales and New Zealand scheduled to take place at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on November 7th have completely sold out. Tickets still remain for the other 3 matches which together make up the Autumn International series. Wales will also take on might of Australia and the Samoan and Argentinean team during the month long tournament.

Last year tickets for Wales v New Zealand sold out within an hour, which was a record for the Welsh Rugby Union. The rush came following the smash success of the Welsh Team in 2008 who were reining Grand Slam Champions at the time. The Welsh didn’t disappoint either with an electrifying start to the match which saw the Welsh boys stare down their opponents in the now legendary Haka stand off. The Millennium Stadium has also enjoyed success on its own merit recently having been voted the best rugby stadium in the world by New Zealand rugby magazine, Fortress.

If you’re lucky enough to have a ticket for the 75,000 sell out match then you’d better start considering your transport needs. We can offer rugby supporters the opportunity to arrive at the match in the back of a chauffeur driven limo. Our rates are extremely competitive; you won’t find a better limo at a lower price anywhere else in Cardiff.

Gavin Henson to Quit Rugby?

gavin henson

gavin hensonReports are rife that Wales and Ospreys centre Gavin Henson is about to bow out of rugby at the grand old age of 27. The Sun newspaper claimed this morning that Henson had already announced his decision to quit to bosses at The Ospreys but they insisted he reconsider.

Further fuel was added to the fire when the rugby star failed to show for the first day back at training with The Ospreys. He was due to join team mates at the training camp in Llandarcy this morning after a month long break.

The alleged retirement is not wholly unexpected. Having been dogged with injuries in recent years, Henson revealed in an interview that he found being taken out by injury “soul destroying” and was often left wondering “Is it worth it?” Fate dealt Henson another hefty blow after he suffered damage to the ligaments in his right ankle during an EDF Energy Cup semi final clash with Gloucester; this latest injury stole his chance of a place on the Lions Tour this summer.

But what will the double Gran Slam winner do if he calls time on his rugby career? It has been suggested in the past that Gavin had aspirations for a career in the entertainment industry, following in the shadow of his famous long-term girlfriend, Charlotte Church.

Gavin has two children with the Welsh singer and presenter Ruby aged 20 months and Dexter 7months, a decision to quit rugby will leave him with plenty of time to devote to his young family. Rumours have also surfaced that the rugby star has discovered a new passion for sailing and has plans to pursue this avenue in the future.
