Wedding limo mix up ruins bride’s big entrance on wedding day

A bride from Sheffield was left to hurriedly book two taxi cabs to get her to the church on time after her wedding limo failed to show.

Laura Esberger was the unlucky bride in question. Prior to her wedding, Laura had struggled to find a limousine available on her wedding day as most were already full with school prom bookings. So when she finally discovered one company with availability, she jumped at it, securing her booking with a £60 deposit.

However a month before the big day, bride-to-be Laura was baffled to find the Chrysler 300 limousine she had booked for her big day, waiting outside of her house. After explaining that the date was 4 weeks away, the limo left, expected to return on the correct date.

When the wedding day came, the wedding car didn’t. With just 45 minutes to go until the ceremony, Laura called the limo company to ask where her limousine was. She was told someone would be back in touch; she’s still waiting for that phone call. Instead the bride was forced to call a taxi to the church.

After contacting the booking agent, National Limousine Hire, it transpires that the booking was placed with a Manchester based limo hire company. It appears there was some confusion regarding the date, and Laura’s details could not be found on their system. The company have since offered to refund Laura her deposit, and apologised for the upset.

This is scant consolation to the newlyweds who were looking forward to having the wedding snaps taken in their dream car.

Limo Broker on target for highest January booking rate on record

Limo Broker report record number of sales this January

Limo Broker have kicked off 2010 with a bang, and are on track to announce their highest January booking rate ever recorded at the company. Thanks to sophisticated marketing strategies, clever use of social networking sites and their massively successful January sale discounts, the limo hire giant looks set to have a bumper year.

The introduction of huge discounted rates on limo hire during January has encouraged a great number of customers to book early in order to cash in on the lower prices. Bookings for school proms and weddings have been two of the biggest sellers. These kinds of customers are more likely to book early, as during the peak prom and wedding season, limos tend to get booked out very quickly so it’s advisable to arrange your limo hire as soon as your date is confirmed.

Managing Director of Limo Broker, Tej Randeva, is confident the company can continue their successful streak right through 2010 as he says: “After the great response we’ve received from our January Sale which has resulted in a record number of bookings, we have come up with some other new and exciting offers for our customers for the coming months; details of those will be released very soon.”

Limo Broker has also reported a very positive response from their pages on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. A huge number of enquiries are being generated from these sites, one of the main reasons for this is because of its ease of use. Customers can ask for a quote whilst chatting to their friends on Facebook which takes the strain out of searching for cheap limo hire. Also new customers have the benefit of reading reviews from previous customers which enables them to book with confidence having seen the positive feedback from others.

All special offers and last minute deals for cheap limo hire are always advertised on the Facebook and Twitter pages firstly, so keep your eyes peeled for more discount offers in the coming weeks.

Limo Broker contradicts gloomy industry survey by reporting the most successful year to date

Limo Broker

In a recent survey conducted by top industry magazine and website, The Chauffeur.com, the results indicated that a hefty proportion of those involved in the limo hire business had noted a decline in custom during the difficult period of 2009, whereas agent brokers within the industry seemed unaffected by the slump. The survey sought to gain a snapshot of how the luxury transport business was fairing during the economic downturn, and how these businesses feel about the future of the industry.

Out of all the limo hire operators interviewed by The Chauffeur Magazine as part of the survey, 62% said they had noticed a marked slowdown in their business over the last 12 months. 50% of those who had reported a decrease in business said that they estimated that the number of their bookings had dropped by 25%, but 40% said they’d noted a 50% drop in bookings received through 2009.

However broker agents within the industry tell a very different story, with many reporting a surge in business as more and more people choose to shop around to find cheap deals for limo hire. One of the UK’s leading limo hire brokers, Limo Broker Ltd, seemed to buck the trend in 2009 and reported one of their busiest years ever. This marked contrast in fortunes between the independent limo operators and the brokers, could raise a question mark over the future of the limo hire firms as the broker agents gain more power within the business.

Limo Broker is also displaying encouraging signs for the New Year. The enquiry rate has been extremely high during January and the company have reported an increase in wedding car and wedding limo hire bookings for the coming summer season. Limo Broker’s January sale promotion which saw hire prices heavily reduced has also helped boost bookings.

Other results from The Chauffeur website survey revealed that limo hire operators are looking towards the future with optimism as 46% of those questioned saying that they were planning to invest in a new vehicle for the fleet within the next year.
