New One Show host Jason Manford made a public apology after a fan spoke out about the flirty messages she’d exchanged with the married comedian on social network site Twitter.

22-year-old Debra McNanee revealed in a tabloid newspaper interview this week how she’d exchanged a number of explicit messages with the TV host via the micro-blogging site, and that she’d also forwarded him three picture message of herself at his request.

Manford fan McNanee initiated the contact with the funny man, and admitted she was flattered when he replied to her message. The messages between the pair were harmless to start with, with Jason asking questions about Debra’s pet dog. After the initial friendly banter, the chat turned racy with the One Show presenter asking for picture messages of the fan.

The comedian, who is married with two young children and another baby due before the end of the year, has spoken out to apologise for his behaviour calling it “misjudged” before adding that he would like to “apologise to anyone that this has offended.”

McNanee from Wolverhampton, first contacted the 29-year-old presenter on October 22nd, the last message she received from the comic was on October 30th shortly after he finished a gig in Bradford.

Manford lives in Stockport with his wife of three years and two children. The Northern comedian is a big fan of Twitter and currently boasts 200,000 followers on the micro-blogging site.

New Sugababe Jade Ewen

New Sugababe Jade Ewen wasted no time in getting stuck into her new role. The altered line-up were snapped for the first time yesterday as they shot their new video in the desert outside of L.A only a day after the last original member of the band, Keisha Buchanan, was axed.

Eurovision Song Contest singer Jade was poached from a rival record label to take over from Keisha despite only releasing her first single, My Man, on Monday. Keisha’s exit from the band shocked music fans as rumours had been rife that the most recent addition to the band, Amelle, was due to walk because of friction between the girls. This was further fuelled by Amelle’s no-show at a gig two weeks ago which forced Keisha and Heidi to perform as a duo.

The Sugagbabe’s official website broke the news, however Keisha chose to make a statement through Twitter which succeeded in stirring things up a bit. Writing on the micro blogging site she said: “There were no arguments, bullying, or anything of that sort that lead to this.” But she followed up with this intriguing comment “it was not my decision to leave.”  A spokesperson for the Sugababes’ record company, Island Records, confirmed that Keisha will be staying on with them to pursue a solo career.

Latest Sugababe, Jade, rose to fame earlier this year by winning Andrew Lloyd Webber’s talent search to find an entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest. Despite gaining a high profile from her stint as the U.K representative for the singing competition, a source close to Jade said “she felt she couldn’t say no” to the Sugababe offer.

X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke

Alexandra Burke shot to fame last year as she became the winner of the X-Factor 2008 and today she was in London to unveil her brand new single. However the down to earth star revealed in an interview to Chris Moles that her boss, Simon Cowell, doesn’t share her passion for micro blogging site Twitter, and has advised her to lay off it.

The singer from Islington was on the Chris Moyles radio show this morning to hear the first airing of her forthcoming single. The track, entitled Bad Boys, also features guest vocals from U.S rapper Flo Rida. The new single is a definite departure from her debut release which was a cover of Hallelujah. This upbeat floor filler is guaranteed to get fans up and dancing, plus many pundits are tipping it to hit the number one spot.

During the interview on the Radio one breakfast show Alexandra admitted to being “addicted” to Twitter and revealed she even followed the show’s host, Chris Moyles. Other celebs followed by the X-factor winner via the social networking site include Lady GaGa and Tyra Banks. Alexandra puts Simon Cowell’s dislike of Twitter down to the fact that he doesn’t “really get it.”

Maybe Simon, whose record label Syco signed the star, is right to advise a Twitter boycott as the 21 year old revealed she hasn’t finished her album yet. One of the biggest problems in finalising the album is choosing which songs to keep and which to ditch. Alexandra said she pushed Simon to let her have a double sided album but his response was “no way.” The new single is released on October 12th with her debut album to follow, um…sometime.

Gallagher brothers are not on speaking terms

Future of Oasis uncertain as the Gallagher brothers no longer speak

Liam Gallagher revealed in an interview with music magazine NME this week that things have got so bad between him and his brother Noel, that they no longer speak. The only time the warring pair interact is on stage, or whilst throwing insults back and forth on Twitter.

Future of Oasis uncertain as the Gallagher brothers no longer speak

The news comes just days before the Manchester lads are due to set foot on the V Festival stage to perform as the headline act. Outspoken Liam put the feud plainly saying “He doesn’t like me and I don’t like him, that’s it.”

The brothers certainly seem to be doing a good job of living up to this bold statement via their Twitter updates. Liam mocked Noel after seeing photos taken of him out on the lash saying he looked like he’d “got through to the next round of the X-Factor.” Noel took a more relaxed swipe at the Oasis lead singer referring to him as “what’siz’name.” Liam believes it’s a good thing they vent their anger on the micro blogging site as he puts it, it prevents “the f***ing tour from imploding.”

Heated exchanges between the Oasis band mates is nothing new however it seems this brotherly banter has taken a definite nasty turn. Noel admitted in an interview that his 2 year old son Donovan has never even met his uncle Liam.

Oasis fans are right to be anxious over their future as Liam even conceded himself that he has “not got a clue” what’s going on with the band. Liam’s decision to launch his own clothing label, Pretty Green, earlier this year could be seen as a sign that the lead singer is keeping his options open.

Posh lands seat on American Idol

Posh to voice mermaid character for one-off SpongBob Squarepants episode

victoria_beckham2It has been confirmed that Victoria Beckham will make a “one off appearance” as a judge on American Idol. The former Spice Girl will join straight-talking Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson on the judging panel. It had been rumoured that the Posh would fill the spot left by long term judge Paula Abdul after she announced her decision to quit this week, however her publicist insisted her role would only be a temporary one.

The 35-year-old mother of three is said to be filming her part in the hit show, which attracts 26 million viewers per episode, this week. The Beckham’s profile in American has soared since their move to L.A in 2007 when David signed to play for L.A Galaxy. The power couple have become regulars on the L.A circuit and are often seen out with Hollywood couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

So if Vic isn’t the new idol judge, who is? Well it’s been announced that former guest judge, the songwriter Kara DioGuardi will return to the U.S’s most successful entertainment show on a permanent basis.

Paula Abdul announced her departure through Twitter, ending weeks of speculation. The 80’s pop star has been a judge on the show for the past 8 years and admitted her decision was made “with sadness in my heart.”

Posh’s presence on the judging panel will certainly add a healthy dose of glamour to the line-up, not to mention some all important publicity.
