Glamour model turned reality TV star, Katie Price, made a mishap over the weekend as she travelled home in a pink hummer limo after a night out in London to celebrate boyfriend Leandro Penna’s birthday.

Wherever Katie Price is, you can bet the paparazzi aren’t far behind. Unfortunately this time the snappers were on hand to catch the mother of three as she descended into her stretch hummer limousine at the end of the night, displaying a little too much of her underwear. The next day the model tweeted, “Omg biggest hangover ever” which may have had something to do with the knicker-flashing incident in the back of the hummer.

Katie was snapped wearing a sheer cream babydoll dress accompanying her new beau and birthday boy Leandro who looked smart in a black suit. The couple travelled in the back of a stretch pink hummer limo with matching pink seats especially to celebrate the occasion.

The blonde attended trendy London night club, Nylon, with Argentine boyfriend Leandro Penna to celebrate his 26th birthday. The couple were joined by Katie’s long term friend and former Liberty X singer, Michelle Heaton, who stuck to the soft drinks as she’s pregnant with her first child. Other famous faces who turned out for the bash included the two newly single Lauren’s from ITV2’s The Only Way is Essex, Lauren Goodger and Lauren Pope.

Funeral limo rescues stranded prom goers

A group of school girls were rescued by a funeral limo after the company they’d booked a luxury stretch limousine with to transport them to their school prom in Sunderland went bust.

Like most high school students, the seven girls who all attend Farringdon School began planning for their prom night months in advance, booking their limo hire at the first opportunity.

However their plans were thrown into disarray when one of the party received a phone call from their limousine hire company to inform them that the firm had ceased trading and would therefore be unable to provide them with a chauffeur driven limo come prom night.

With only a few weeks to go until the prom, all of the local luxury transport providers were fully booked and so it looked as though the girls’ dreams of arriving at their prom in the back of a chauffeur driven limo were over, that was until a local funeral directors heard about the limo-less prom girls and decided to offer their services.

Scollen and Wright Funeral Services offered the girls the use of their black funeral limo free of charge to ensure they had a night to remember.

The funeral directors were unsure if the 16-year-old girls would feel uneasy about travelling to their prom in a funeral car, however the prom goers were actually thrilled with their prom ride as it was something different and there was definitely no danger of any other pupils turning up in a funeral limo!

New York limo vandalised in road rage attack

Road rage attack sees limo damaged in New York street

A limo travelling through New York City over the weekend had its windscreen smashed in after an irate motorcyclist sought revenge after the limousine clipped his bike and didn’t stop.

The cyclist became enraged after the limo chauffeur knocked his bike as the two vehicles travelled along 6th Avenue in New York. The motorcyclist was heard to say, “He hit me and kept going. I’m sick of this.”

When the limo came to a halt at a set of traffic lights the cyclist jumped off his bike, and sprinted to the limousine. At this point he is reported to have leaped on to the bonnet of the limo where he started pounding at the windscreen with his bare hands, smashing the glass.

Still incensed, the cyclist then turned his attention to the chauffeur directly. He tore at the half-open window on the driver’s side of the limo, shattering the glass, then grabbed the chauffeur inside the limo, ripping his shirt.

A group of fellow motorcyclists then descended on the scene, convincing the angry motorcycle rider to calm down.

The police were called and even though the chauffeur didn’t want to press charges, the cyclist was arrested.

Speaking after the altercation the limo chauffeur, who was on route to pick up a client at the time of the incident, said, “I thought I was a dead man.”

OAP’s in Florida convert their golf buggies into limos

The retirement community in Florida have been upping their game in the style stakes lately. Perhaps it’s a case of “keeping up with the Joneses” or maybe they’ve been inspired by an episode of Pimp My Ride, whatever’s happened, their golf buggies have undergone some extreme make-over’s and now resemble something you’d see on the red carpet, not the golf course.

The motorised golf carts are the older driver’s favoured form of transport. Their retirement village has been specifically designed to accommodate golf buggies allowing the pensioners to get around easily. There’s 87 miles of trails and country walks (or drives in this case) special buggy friendly roads which lead to the supermarket, golf club, archery range and hospital, plus they’ve even installed a buggy flyover so the pensioners can get across the main road safely.

Understandably, the old folks get a lot of use out of their motorised vehicles and rely on them daily to get about. One golf buggy enthusiast said they didn’t like to use this term to refer to their vehicles and instead think of them as their “second cars.”

These second cars have certainly undergone the first class treatment with some affluent oldies shelling out over $20,000 to transform their wheels. Some speed freaks have even tampered with the engines so their buggies can now reach top speeds of 40mph, which is double the average speed.

The biggest change however, is aesthetic. Some of these glorified golf carts have been completely transformed to resemble 1930’s roadsters, fire engines and stretch limos. However the height of style and envy of hundreds of Florida pensioners is the bright yellow imitation of a hummer limousine.

Chauffeur gets limo stuck on the Hollywood Hills

Sleek black limos are a common sight in Hollywood, however this luxury stretch limo did turn a few heads whilst on a “outing” this week, and for all the wrong reasons. A popular shortcut route through the Hollywood Hills became blocked after a certain chauffeur managed to wedge his limo into a particularly tight spot.

Maybe it was a new limo? Perhaps the chauffeur was on work experience? Whatever the reason for the trapped limousine, it certainly managed to cause considerable chaos. It seems the driver was turning out of a multi-million dollar mansion on the Hollywood Hills when he misjudged the distance needed to clear the turn resulting in the front bumper getting stuck on the curb of the pavement. After attempting to reverse out of the tricky spot, the chauffeur realised his limo wasn’t going anywhere as the rear of the vehicle was propped up on the hillside; when the limo attempted to reverse, the back wheels kept spinning helplessly and only contributed to the smell of burning rubber.

Many motorist travelling along the route, which cuts out the main highland traffic, were forced to turn back as the limo showed no signs of moving. However many drivers took the opportunity to hop out of their cars and take a picture of the unlucky limo, and shout a few angry words at the chauffeur. Despite the obvious inconvenience, many of the motorists were able to see the funny side of the situation, which is more than can be said for the limo’s passengers.

Whether it was a high profile celeb or not we shall never know, as the limo’s tinted windows were able to conceal the passengers blushes, and their identity, successfully. Whoever was onboard was definitely not best pleased as onlookers said they did nothing but whinge and moan from the comfort of their air-conditioned limo.

Limo Hire for 7-year-olds

Flower%20Girl%20Dress

cheap-flower-girl-dresses-cover-2Children as young as seven have been hiring limousines to take them to their school prom. The American invention has caught hold in the U.K thanks to the popularity of films such as High School Musical where the prom is built up as the highlight of school life. Traditionally the prom is meant for 16 and 17 year-olds leaving secondary school however, not wanting to miss out on all the fun, primary school children have now begun having their own end of year celebrations – and there’s no scrimping on the prom experience.

£800 dresses, luxury stretch limousines, professional hair stylists and make-up artists are just some of the extravagances these mini-prom queens are indulging in. Not wanting to be outdone by their peers, children and putting their parents under significant financial strain in their quest to have the perfect prom.

The news has sparked anger from some groups who see the trend as worrying. They argue that dressing these little girls and boys up to look like adults is an unhealthy practice and one which is forcing them to grow up to soon.

Others, including many parents, see the prom as a fun diversion for their youngsters and revel in the fun of preparing their little ones for their big day. Adele Wilk arranged for her 7-year-old daughter Ellie to have “the time of her life” at her school prom in South Wales last year. The mother of two treated her daughter to a new dress, glitter make-up and a stretch limo to take her to the prom. She said “We hired a limousine for her and eight friends, which cost £12 each, and the limo took them around the village before dropping them at the school.”

The popularity of the prom looks set to snowball with kids looking for flashier and more extravagant means of transport; at a prom in the Midlands earlier this year, the group of sequinned youngsters arrived by helicopter. Love it or loathe it one thing’s for sure; limo hire businesses look set for a windfall.
