After just one day after becoming the new WBA light-welterweight champ, English boxing fans are already hoping to see him in the ring against Ricky Hatton who’s future in the boxing sport has been in doubt since he was knocked out by Manny Pacquiao in the second round of their 140-pound title fight in May and he went to the hospital for a precautionary brain scan.
Promoter Frank Warren insists that the 30-year-old Hatton is not up to fighting the new WBA light-welterweight, Amir Khan, who captured title by unanimous decision against Andreas Kotelnik.
“Ricky shouldn’t be fighting — it’s not good for boxing and it’s not good for him more importantly,” Warren said on Sunday. “He’s just been in hospital for overindulgence or whatever that may be.
“I don’t think he should fight again, he should definitely retire. If the fight happened and, God forbidden, something bad happens, everyone would blame boxing. Sometimes fighters go on and at the end of the day bad things happen.”
Amir Khan is leaving the decision to his team.
“I’m a fan of Ricky Hatton and I’d like him to support me on the way to achieving what he’s achieved,” Khan said. “Boxing is a game where you have to face fighters, and for Britain it would be a huge fight.
“Let’s see what happens. I’ll leave it with Frank and Freddie and if they think it’s the right move for me to make, then I’ll do it.”

Tennis Ace Andy Murray edges one step closer to the clinching the legendary Wimbledon title after the news that defending champion Raphael Nadal is out of the running. The Spaniard made the decision to pull out of the competition after playing a practice match in Switzerland on Friday where an ongoing knee injury was visibly affecting him.
But Murray isn’t home and dry just yet. The bookie’s favourite Roger Federer is still very much in contention. He narrowly lost out on the title to Nadal last year in a hair-raising 5 set match which was touted by many as the best Wimbledon final ever. Federer is keen to regain the title this year and at the same time set a new world record for the most grand-slams wins by a tennis player ever. He has already equalled the current record set by Pete Sampras for 14 wins when he won the French Open earlier this year.
Although Roger Federer is a firm favourite with the crowds at Wimbledon, whether you can top the support attributed to Andy Murray is another question all together. The ground reached its maximum capacity before lunch time on Monday, the opening day, with thousands of Brits flocking to show their support for the rising star. Murray is riding high after lifting the Queen’s Club Trophy only last week; many believe he will continue his winning streak and take home the Wimbledon title as well.
Wimbledon is certainly THE hot ticket in town, so if you’re lucky enough to have one in your possession, you’ll be in need of a classy ride to get you to Centre Court on time. Limo Broker has a fleet of exceptional chauffeur driven limousines available for hire throughout the Wimbledon fortnight at extremely low rates. Make the most of this sensational occasion and book your limo today.
Andy Murray offers the U.K’s best chance of scooping the title in years. Will he do it? All the signs are good, and the support couldn’t be greater; one thing’s for sure, we’ll be seeing a lot more of those Murray muscles in the next few weeks.

Mon Mome - The Grand National 2009
The Grand National, arguably the country’s most famous horse race, will set pulses racing early this April at the Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool.
This event has something for everyone, from those who can’t resist the lure of having a punt on an exciting tip to people who admire the beauty of a horse in full flow, as well anyone who just really likes hats.
From April 2nd to 4th, the finest thoroughbreds will be on display, along with the classiest of fashion and, of course, champagne will be flowing for all.
Much of the Grand National’s mystique is perhaps created by the fact that it has been running since 1839 and still manages to pull in the punters of all ages and backgrounds.
For anyone unfamiliar with the event, it is known as the one horse race which even the most reluctant of gamblers will be tempted to have a flutter on.
While there is no official dress code, many choose to pull out all the stops with their choice of attire, meaning limousine hire will be preferable for travelling to the event.
