Wall to wall celebs at London Fashion Week

If you’re a celebrity, London is the only place to be this week. The much anticipated London Fashion Week kicked off last Friday with some of the biggest designers in the world flocking to the capital to display their latest collections and of course wherever fashion goes, the celebrities aren’t far behind.

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson flew in from America where she’s just started University to catch a few shows. As the current face of London label Burberry, the young actress seems to keen to keep up to date with the latest developments within the fashion industry. Veteran supermodel Kate Moss was present as was Naomi Campbell who at 39 years old, proved she still has the ability to own the catwalk as she revealed her enviable figure in a one shoulder swimsuit for Issey.

There was a particularly award moment at one of the shows this week as the infamous editor in chief at American Vogue, Anna Wintour, was pictured looking stony and leaning away from hip young girls about town, Pixie Geldof and Alexa Chung. Anna Wintour has something of a reputation as she’s believed to be the inspiration behind Meryl Streep’s character in The Devils Wears Prada. The unlikely trio were positioned next to each other during a show and American Vogue’s head honcho looked none too pleased with her companions.

GI Joe actress Sienna Miller was in town to showcase her clothing range Twenty8twelve which she runs along with her designer sister, Savannah. Their spring/summer collection had a distinctly London flavour with the actress citing “London girls” as the inspiration for the range.

One of the glitziest occasions of the week was the Vogue Dinner Party. Victoria Beckham showed up as did Claudia Schiffer and Stella McCartney. Supermodel of the moment Agness Deyn was pictured wearing 3 different outfits within a matter of hours as she darted between a variety of show and parties. At one point she was pictured sandwiched between Lorraine Kelly and Little Boots at the Henry Holland Show.

London Fashion Week as certainly lived up to its own hype this year. Despite the gloomy economic climate, fashion has proved itself to be irrepressible with the celebs, and us mere mortals, all jostling to get a glimpse of the latest designer collections.

Mother of Jude Law’s fourth child revealed?

jude_lawSpeculation is mounting as to the identity of the mother of Jude Law’s fourth child which is due this October. It has been confirmed on TMZ.com, the website which first broke the news of Michael Jackson’s death, that an unknown actress and model Samantha Burke is the mother-to-be. In a statement from her lawyers they confirm she is expecting a baby girl on October 6th which she plans to call Sophia.

Jude Law who is currently appearing on London’s West End stage as Hamlet, has remained tight lipped since the news broke. His spokeswoman revealed that the actor is no longer in a relationship with the, as then, unidentified woman, but will play a “fully supportive” role in the child’s life.

The 36-year-old actor already has three children with ex-wife Sadie Frost and is an adoptive father to her eldest child too. They divorced in 2003 after 7 years of marriage although speculation surrounded their relationship with whispers about wife-swapping parties.

The Hollywood rumour-mill went into overdrive at the news of Jude’s impending bundle of joy, the mother was first cited as Kayleen McAdams, the make-up artist sister of the actress Rachael McAdams who stars alongside Jude in the forthcoming Guy Richie movie Sherlock Holmes due for release at the end of the year. It was alleged the pair became close whilst the actor was filming the movie in New York last Christmas. These rumours have been denied by McAdams camp, putting the spotlight back on Samantha Burke.

This isn’t the first time the Cold Mountain star has found his personal life under the media spotlight. In 2005 Jude’s affair with his children’s nanny Daisy Wright was revealed by a Sunday tabloid. At the time he was engaged to aspiring starlet Sienna Miller. The scandal lead to the breakup of the couple in 2006.

Jude Law’s intense dislike for the media has been well publicised, with that in mind, the past few weeks will be taking its toll of the actor. He’s been a permanent figure on the front pages recently after enjoying a cosy night out with Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz and following an incident where he was alleged to have struck a female photographer. With the news of another baby on the way, the media circus surrounding the star isn’t likely to cease any time soon.

Sienna has ‘Hollywood’ night out in London

Actress Sienna Miller partied with a number of Hollywood stars on a night out in London on Friday, November 7th.

She met Olivier Martinez at private diners club Mosimann’s before hopping in her car hire with the actor, joining Josh Hartnett and Leonardo DiCaprio as the night progressed.

Miller recently sparked rumours that she has split from her beau Balthazar Getty, who she is thought to have been dating since the pair were snapped on a boat in Italy in the summer.

“It’s nice not to have a relationship that the press constantly want to scrutinize and discuss. I’m cool with being on my own,” she told US Magazine.

However, the Edge of Love star certainly seemed to be enjoying herself last week.

Sienna found herself in the company of two Hollywood hotties, Martinez and Hartnett, at restaurant Automat until 2:00 GMT.

“It was a really heavy night for Sienna. She didn’t stop partying until around 4:00,” source said.

Miller then continued her evening in nightspot Jalouse, where she was joined by Leonardo DiCaprio.
