Following a very public split and more spats played out in the newspapers than we care to count, it appears that former husband and wife, Peter Andre and Katie Price have decided to put their differences aside for the sake of their children.

According to a recent newspaper report, the ex couple are planning to take their young children out for a family visit in the New Year. If the outing goes ahead, it will be the first time the former glamour model and singer have been seen together in public for more than two years since their divorce.

The 38-year-old Mysterious Girl hit maker turned coffee shop owner first met Katie aka Jordan when they both appeared on the 2004 series of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, the couple married the following September and have two children together, 4-year-old Princess and 6-year-old Junior and Peter is also a father figure to Katie’s son from a previous relationship, Harvey.

In a recent interview the reality TV star said he and his ex wife were attempting to “build bridges” for the sake of their young children. It’s thought that Katie and Peter will take Harvey, Princess and Junior out for day trips in 2012 as the exes attempt to rebuild their relationship so that their children can enjoy time together with both of their parents. Prior to this, relations between the two were said to be very strained.

Singer and reality TV star Peter Andre has been forced to cancel the first night of his arena tour in Plymouth tonight after being rushed into hospital in the early hours of the morning suffering from excruciating stomach pains.

Surprisingly, Peter Andre’s ex-wife, Katie Price, was the one who broke the news after she revealed on Twitter that the singer’s management team were about to release a statement regarding the 37-year-old’s hospital dash. The former glamour model added that she hoped her ex was ok.

The father of two’s manager, Claire Powell, later confirmed the news and also revealed tonight’s cancelled gig in Plymouth has been re-scheduled for December 21st.

Pete’s manager said the singer was “terribly disappointed” to have to let his fans down by cancelling the sell-out gig in Plymouth. Andre is due to perform in Minehead on Saturday. At present, that gig is still due to go ahead, although any changes will be posted on Peter’s official website.

The Mysterious Girl singer was diagnosed with gallstones earlier in the year and had received medical treatment on more than one occasion because of pain caused by the condition. It’s not known if the gallstone problem is linked to the singer’s current stomach pains.

It’s been reported that Peter is being kept in hospital as doctors continue to run tests to get to the bottom of his current ailment. Pete’s management are said to be “very worried” about the star.

Peter Andre has beaten off stiff competition from the likes of Vernon Kay, Mark Owen, and Jeff Brazier to clinch the title of Celebrity Dad of the Year.

While collecting the award, devoted dad Peter Andre said winning the trophy meant a great deal as his role as a father to his two children, 4-year-old Junior, and 2-year-old Princess Tiaamii is his most “important role.”

The 37-year-old reality TV star and pop star described the last 12 months as a “turnaround year” which has seen him divorce from wife Katie Price which meant settling into life as a single parent. The singer also re-launched his pop career with the release of a brand new album and a national tour.

The title of Celebrity Dad of the Year was awarded by parenting club Bounty. 35,000 votes were cast as part of the poll to discover who the public would choose as their winner this year round.

Coming a close second to Andre is TV presenter Jeff Brazier who is bringing up his two sons after their mother, Jade Goody tragically passed away last year after a battle with cervical cancer. Take That singer Gary Barlow came in at third place, while celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, the Prime Minister David Cameron, and new dad Wayne Rooney were all voted into the top 10 list of Best Dads of the year.

After mounting speculation that Peter Andre was in talks to re-enter the jungle, this week has seen a surprising turn in events as his ex-wife Katie Price has announced that she will be returning to the show for this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. However the glamour model has already succeeded in getting the backs of her fellow contestants up after it was revealed that she will receive 5 times more money for appearing on the show.

Other I’m A Celebrity contestants this year include ex-Eastender Lucy Benjamin, Kim Woodburn from Kim and Aggie “How Clean Is Your House” fame, former glamour girl Sam Fox, Strictly Come Dancing’s Camilla Dallerup, and home makeover couple Justin Ryan and Colin McAllister amongst other. All of which are reported to be receiving in the region of £65,000 each to appear on the show, whereas Katie Price has signed deal which will see her bring home £350,000 from her stint in the jungle.

A friend of one of the contestants spoke out about the massive contrast in pay deals saying, “This is really taking the mick. We were pushing for more cash but were told things were tight this year. Now we know why.” ITV knows Katie is a ratings winner and her presence on the show will boost its profile no end, hence the massive pay-out.

Despite the lucrative deal, Katie won’t even enter the jungle until a week after the other contestants. The reason for the delay is said to be because the mum of three had prior commitments in the US, unofficially it’s been rumoured that’s she’s stopping off in LA to top up on Botox before her TV stint.

On her last outing on the ITV show in 2004, Katie met Peter Andre whom she married later that year.

It was bound to happen at some point but things have turned nasty between Peter Andre and his estranged wife’s new man, Alex Reid. The two men are said to have clashed during a telephone conversation this week when Pete called to speak to his children whom he hadn’t had contact with for 5 days.

Katie was said to be annoyed with Pete and handed the phone over to Alex when things started to boil over. Alex is reported to have told the Aussie singer that he was “the man of the house now” and a heated exchanged ensued in which Alex claims Pete called him a tranny after the revelations in the tabloids recently that the cage fighter is a fan of dressing up in women’s clothes.

However Pete strongly denied using this slur during an interview on This Morning today. He also expressed anger that the whole episode was made public saying that, “within minutes it was up on Facebook” and a matter of this nature should remain private.

Katie Price has also joined in the row today claiming that Pete threatened Alex saying “I’m gonna break your f***ing legs” during the bust-up. Pete admitted to having lost his temper saying that issues relating to his kids “push his buttons” and he was devastated at not being allowed to speak to his own children.

If the mid-week reports are anything to go by, Peter Andre should clinch the number 2 position in the U.K album charts this week with his brand new release, Revelation. His attempt to resurrect a pop career is going from strength to strength as fans have been cuing up to get their hands on the latest Andre offering.

Other runners and riders in the album chart this week include newcomer Pixie Lott and U.S rap star, and hubby to Beyonce, Jay Z. However the veteran singer, 92-year-old Vera Lynn, is showing the young ones a thing or two by hanging on to the number one spot for another week.

Pete’s popularity has sky rocketed since his split from former wife, Katie Price, earlier this year whereas hers has taken a serious nose-dive. The 36-year-old Aussie singer is currently on tour around the U.K to promote the new album. He’s already visited Milton Keynes and Reading this week where he was mobbed by thousands of fans as they turned out in force to catch a glimpse of the star.

The success of the album will further boost Peter’s earnings which have also seen a dramatic increase in the past few months. It has been estimated that the singer has racked in almost £4 million since the news of the divorce. He’s managed to bag a presenting job on This Morning and been paid a fortune for countless interviews and appearances: Pete’s never been so popular.

Katie Price is known for her love of fast cars and recently, even faster men, so when she was snapped driving her luxury white Range Rover with a pink towel covering her face, it certainly raised a few safety issues. It appears that the high profile celeb has suddenly turned camera shy and is now doing everything she can to conceal herself from the preying paparazzi.

Given the 31-year-old has now developed a penchant for driving partially blindfolded in an attempt to hide from the snappers, maybe she should employ the services of a chauffeur? This way she can conceal herself under a towel, Gucci handbag or designer jumper anytime she likes without endangering the safety of the waiting photographers, but that might be beside the point.

Katie Price, aka Jordan, can certainly afford a chauffeur after she was granted a quickie divorce this week from Aussie singer, Peter Andre. Her £28 million fortune will remain intact as her ex-husband will only be entitled to a 50% share of the money they earned during their marriage. This figure is rumoured to be £12 million with each of them walking away with £6million a piece.

Since her divorce was granted in a 1 minute high court ruling this week, OK Magazine have revealed that Katie Price will throw a lavish divorce party to celebrate her new freedom. The celeb mag plans to do a full spread of the “star studded” event however the news hasn’t been warmly received by everyone. Some journalists have accused the mother of three of sinking to a new low with her latest stunt, but it seems the determined celeb is set on the idea.

Today one of the U.K’s most high profile couples will officially start the legal proceedings to end their marriage. Katie Price and Peter Andre’s divorce will be subject to an initial hearing in London’s High Court under the Family Division, neither are due to appear in court.

Unusually the couple have applied for a cross decrees signalling that both parties have petitioned for a divorce. This only occurs when both sides are unwilling to take the blame for the breakdown of the marriage meaning that neither party will have to give a reason for their involvement in the split. The marriage will be brought to end on the grounds that it is irretrievably broken down.

The couple only announced their separation 4 months ago but details of the divorce appear to have been resolved quickly. For once, this celebrity divorce doesn’t seem to hinge on money. Pete will walk away with £6 million, a 50% split from the £12 million they earned during their marriage. He has not asked for a slice of Katie’s £28 million fortune which she amassed prior to their marriage.

The proposed terms of the divorce state that the couple are applying for joint custody of their two children, two-year-old Princess and 4 year-old Junior who stared school this week. The final details of the custody arrangements are yet to be finalised. Diving the couple’s properties appears to have been a far simple process as their former martial home in Surrey, estimated to be worth £3 million, was bought in Katie’s name, whereas Pete owns a £2 million luxury home in Cyprus.

This initial court hearing is a significant step in the legal divorce proceedings. Katie and Peter will now a 6 weeks cooling-off period, starting from today, to allow both parties to think over their decision. If neither have changed their mind after the 6 weeks is up, the decree absolute, which will officially dissolve the marriage, can be signed.

Peter Andre’s star is rising as he lands on his feet with a job as showbiz reporter for the daytime TV favourite, This Morning. The ITV show returns next week on September 1st with a whole new look, a several new faces to boot.

Holly Willoughby is the most significant change to the mix as she replaces Fern Britton to co-host the show alongside Phillip Schofield. However for the first two week, Eamonn Holmes and his fiancé Ruth Langsford will resume presenting duties until the new pairing debut on September 14th. Other newcomers to the show include Linda Barker, chef Jean Christophe Novelli, and gardener Diarmuid Gavin.

This isn’t Pete’s first foray into presenting on the morning show. Along with his now estranged wife Katie Price, Pete presented a segment whilst the series I’m A Celebrity Get me Out Of Here was airing offering their opinions on events within the jungle. As a pair of ex-contestants themselves, the couple were well positioned to offer their views and were also popular with the viewers.

Last week the first episode of Peter Andre’s solo reality showed was aired on ITV2 and pulled in a staggering 2 million viewers, the highest audience figures for the channel this year. Pete has also re-launched his music career this summer and reached number 4 in the charts with his debut single, Behind Closed Doors, from his forthcoming new album. This Morning will hope to capitalise on Pete’s popularity and appeal to a whole new area of the audience market.

Peter announced his split from wife of 3 and a half years, Katie Price aka Jordan, in May of this year and the pair have rarely been out of the headlines since. The Mysterious Girl will be joining the hit show at a special time as This Morning celebrates its 21st anniversary in October and a whole host of celebrity guests are rumoured to appear to mark the occasion.

If you’re of a delicate disposition stop reading now, or grab yourself a bucket. Katie Price’s new squeeze Alex Reid has spoken out about his love for her, admitting he tells her he loves her “50 million times a day.” Other romantic activities undertaken by the love-birds include spending hours looking into each other’s eyes “just staring without talking or saying anything.”

To his credit the former Hollyoaks actor doesn’t deny the fact that his new relationship has boosted his profile significantly, however he emphatically denies it was a motive for getting together with the recently single mum-of-three. As well as enhancing his public image, the media attention has had a negative effect on 34 year-old Reid; a Sunday tabloid recently revealed stills taken from a hard-core sex film  in which he had a starring role, the footage is described as being “vile and degrading.”

Katie’s ex-husband, Peter Andre, always maintained he loved Katie but disliked Jordan. With a nod to this comment, Alex said he accepts both sides of his new bird’s personality. He believes there’s “no difference” between the two personas and he sees her “as one person.” During the interview he also spoke of his fondness for Katie’s children, something which is guaranteed to enrage Pete who is a very protective of his brood.

And poor Pete continues to get a battering, this time from his estranged wife. Talking about her new relationship she took the opportunity to take a side-ways swipe at her ex saying “Alex is better in bed than I’m used to.” So the love-up couple continue to wallow in their new found bliss with Alex choosing to end his interview with the epic cliché “I’ve never felt like this before. Ever.”
