Peter Andre cancels gig after hospital dash

Singer and reality TV star Peter Andre has been forced to cancel the first night of his arena tour in Plymouth tonight after being rushed into hospital in the early hours of the morning suffering from excruciating stomach pains.

Surprisingly, Peter Andre’s ex-wife, Katie Price, was the one who broke the news after she revealed on Twitter that the singer’s management team were about to release a statement regarding the 37-year-old’s hospital dash. The former glamour model added that she hoped her ex was ok.

The father of two’s manager, Claire Powell, later confirmed the news and also revealed tonight’s cancelled gig in Plymouth has been re-scheduled for December 21st.

Pete’s manager said the singer was “terribly disappointed” to have to let his fans down by cancelling the sell-out gig in Plymouth. Andre is due to perform in Minehead on Saturday. At present, that gig is still due to go ahead, although any changes will be posted on Peter’s official website.

The Mysterious Girl singer was diagnosed with gallstones earlier in the year and had received medical treatment on more than one occasion because of pain caused by the condition. It’s not known if the gallstone problem is linked to the singer’s current stomach pains.

It’s been reported that Peter is being kept in hospital as doctors continue to run tests to get to the bottom of his current ailment. Pete’s management are said to be “very worried” about the star.

Peter Andre treats his son to a miniature sports car for his 5th birthday

Andre treated son Junior to a mini Jaguar for his birthday earlier this month

Pop singer and reality TV star Peter Andre went to great lengths to ensure his son Junior had a 5th birthday to remember by presenting him with a custom made miniature sports car.

The 37-year-old explained how he commissioned a friend to make the mini Jaguar a year ago and describes the finished product as “the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Giving the full lowdown on his son’s birthday gift in his New Magazine column, Andre explains that the motorised car is based on the Jaguar model driven by James Bond, however this version is made for a much smaller Bond, obviously.

The 5-year-old’s sports car comes complete with a personalised number plate, and is capable of hitting top speeds of, wait for it, 5mph. In order for Junior to get as much fun out of the custom made car as possible, the driver’s seat is adjustable so it can be pushed back to create more leg room as he grows.

Although the doting father, who was named Celebrity Dad of the Year last week, wasn’t able to be with his son on his actual birthday on June 13th, he threw Junior and his sister Princess, whose birthday falls on June 29th, and his adopted son Harvey, who celebrated his birthday last month, a party at his home a few days later.

The other siblings were also treated to a mass of gifts with Princess receiving “girly stuff” as Andre calls them, like dolls and prams, while Harvey was given some musical instruments. Both also had a laser light show installed in their bedrooms, lucky kiddies!

Peter Andre wins Celeb Dad of the Year accolade

Andre wins Best Dad title beating off the Prime Minister and Jamie Oliver amongst others

Peter Andre has beaten off stiff competition from the likes of Vernon Kay, Mark Owen, and Jeff Brazier to clinch the title of Celebrity Dad of the Year.

While collecting the award, devoted dad Peter Andre said winning the trophy meant a great deal as his role as a father to his two children, 4-year-old Junior, and 2-year-old Princess Tiaamii is his most “important role.”

The 37-year-old reality TV star and pop star described the last 12 months as a “turnaround year” which has seen him divorce from wife Katie Price which meant settling into life as a single parent. The singer also re-launched his pop career with the release of a brand new album and a national tour.

The title of Celebrity Dad of the Year was awarded by parenting club Bounty. 35,000 votes were cast as part of the poll to discover who the public would choose as their winner this year round.

Coming a close second to Andre is TV presenter Jeff Brazier who is bringing up his two sons after their mother, Jade Goody tragically passed away last year after a battle with cervical cancer. Take That singer Gary Barlow came in at third place, while celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, the Prime Minister David Cameron, and new dad Wayne Rooney were all voted into the top 10 list of Best Dads of the year.

Peter Andre regrets the ‘no sex’ promise

Aussie singer Peter Andre has admitted that he regrets vowing to stay celibate until his divorce from Katie Price is confirmed.

Andre was finding it a struggle staying faithful and wishes he never made the promise of not to have sex with anyone else as long as he was still married to estranged wife Jordan (Katie Price).

Talking about his sex life after splitting from the glamour Jordan, Pete said: “I haven’t done a thing.”

“I made this celibacy vow, kicking myself a bit for it now. But I’ve said what I’m going to do and I’m going to do it.”

Meanwhile, mum-of-three Katie has made no secret of her steamy new relationship with cage fighter Alex Reid, 34 who were being filmed by a Living TV documentary crew as they kissed and cuddled in the park in Brighton in broad daylight with Harvey, seven, four-year-old Junior and Princess Powerpuff, two.

Peter Andre tipped to reach to number one with new single

Peter Andre’s new single is far outselling the competition according to Amazon.co.uk MP3 Store. The single “Behind Closed Doors” went on sale at midnight on Saturday and demand for the Andre offering went into overdrive leaving the current number one record “Never Leave You” by Tinchy Styler and the Black Eyed Peas record trailing behind.

peter-andre-movidaThe head of music buying at the online Amazon store, Julian Monaghan, said they were instantly inundated with requests for the Andre single and demand has been steady all weekend. Early reports of download sales are very encouraging with many experts suggesting this new offering could join Peter’s other hit singles like Mysterious Girl, Flava and I feel you.

Andre was at his musical peak in the late 90’s when his single Mysterious Girl sold over 2 million records worldwide. More recently the singer has earned his column inches for his private life. In the past few weeks he’s been a permanent fixture on the tabloid front pages as his very messy split from wife Katie Price is played out in the full glare of the media spotlight.

However Peter is determined to turn this around and get the media talking about something he’s proud of. Speaking in a radio interview this weekend the 36-year old father of three made a bold statement saying “I believe I can do what Robbie (Williams) did.” Peter sees many similarities between the former Take That singer and himself. He believes he faces that same criticism and scepticism that Robbie experienced when he tried to launch his solo career adding “He felt how I feel now.”
