Beautician Amy Childs is set to swap one reality TV show for another as it’s just been revealed that the 21-year-old will star in her own reality show on Channel 5, It’s All About Amy.

Gossip mag favourite, Amy, tweeted her joy at the announcement of her first solo reality show, later revealing in an official statement that she’s “ecstatic” at the development.

The aspiring model rose to fame when she joined a new type of reality show which followed the lives of young people living the glamorous life in Essex as a cast member. The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) became a surprise cult hit for ITV2, catapulting its characters to instant fame.

After bowing out of the most recent series of TOWIE in favour of taking part in the new Channel 5 series of Celebrity Big Brother earlier this summer, 21-year-old Childs made no secret of her desire to pursue a career away from the show where she first found fame, securing a column in New! Magazine, and presenting a fashion segment on the popular daytime ITV show, This Morning.

Filming for It’s All About Amy has already begun, and the redhead is said to be enjoying the making of the series. The show will follow Amy as she prepares to open her brand new beauty salon. Amy Child’s parents and also her brother Billy are set to make an appearance on the programme. The first episode of It’s All About Amy is due to air in December on Channel 5.

X-Factor finalist Olly Murs will star in his own reality TV show for ITV2 it has been confirmed.

The former Essex office worker was signed up by Simon Cowell’s record label, Syco Music which is part of Sony, after his stint on the talent show last year.

The TV show will follow the aspiring singer as he releases his debut single, Please Don’t Let Me Go, which is due for release at the end of August.

The behind-the-scenes TV show will air at the same time as the new series of the X-Factor. It is hoped the programme will further boost Olly’s profile just as he’s launching himself as a solo artist.

Olly’s record label has invested heavily in him having supplied the £100,000 needed to fund the documentary. The record bosses hope fans will get to know the real Olly through the show and this will encourage them to go out and buy his debut album when it’s in September.

The 26-year-old was one of the big stars of the X-Factor last year where his cheeky chappie personality helped earn him a legion of female fans. Olly just missed out on winning the X-Factor to Joe McElderry. The Geordie singer’s album is due for release after Olly’s record has hit the shelves.
