Britain’s Got Talent’s Shaheen to support Leona on Tour?

Rumours are rife that Simon Cowell’s latest prodigy Shaheen Jafargholi is to support Leona Lewis when she embarks on her world tour next year. The 14-date tour is believed to begin in the U.K in mid 2010 before moving on to a range of countries across the world. Leona’s smash hit “Bleeding Love” hit the number one spot in over 30 different countries winning her an army of new fans across the globe.

The common link between Shaheen and Leona is Simon Cowell. He championed Leona on the third series of X Factor in 2006, which she went on to win, and plotted her steady rise to global superstardom.

Despite not winning the Britain’s Got Talent series this year, Cowell has high hopes for the youngster from Swansea. He shot to fame earlier this year when he performed the Michael Jackson hit “Who’s Loving You?” on the hit ITV1 talent show. Shaheen was able to repeat this performance on the world stage as he was invited to perform at Michael Jackson’s memorial concert.

Very few details have been released regarding Leona’s 2010 tour except there is expected to be a Garden of Eden theme and Leon’s record company have been reported as saying “money is no object.” Fans of the Hackney singer can look forward to a blistering tour then, possibly with the added bonus of miniature singing sensation Shaheen.

Jane Horrocks for new musical in London

Annie Get Your Gun is set to be performed in a West End theatre for the first time in 18 years.

The famous show will star Jane Horrocks in the gun-slinging role of heroine Annie Oakley.

From October 3rd, people will be able to head to the Young Vic theatre in limousines to see the musical.

Julian Ovenden is co-starring in the production, having previously appeared in musicals including Marguerite and Merrily We Roll Along.

The songs in Annie Get Your Gun have gone down as all-time classics, including There’s No Business Like Showbusiness, Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better), Doing What Comes Naturally.

However, a plot involving a contest to get into Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show keeps the action moving along at a fast pace.

The Prince of Wales Theatre was the last London theatre to stage the musical in 1992, while it was debuted on Broadway in 1946.ADNFCR-1946-ID-19204353-ADNFCR
