Limo Broker attracts 4000 fans on Facebook
Limo Broker’s popularity on social networking site Facebook is growing stronger every week, so it’s not surprising the company has just announced that they’ve attracted a whopping 4,000 fans to their Facebook page within the space of a few months.
Only last December we reported how Facebook had announced that they’d attracted 1,000 fans within a matter of weeks of starting out on the site. In just over a month, that number has risen again by an extra 3,000 which is a remarkable achievement for the company.

Facebook itself has even noticed the support the limo hire operator is gaining on its site. Limo Broker were granted their own dedicated URL recently in recognition of their popularity on Facebook. This is usually reserved for large global brands only.
The Limo Broker page on Facebook has been extremely successful in its ability to create an informal meeting place for sales staff to interact with customers. New users can post questions on the wall for the Limo Broker team, customers can advise each other on which limos to choose, and all fans are given first refusal on any special offers and last minute cancellations which crop up regularly.
Limo Broker have also reported their busiest January to date, with sales for limo hire going through the roof in the past few weeks. Part of this is likely to be down to their high profile status on Facebook as there seems to be a direct correlation between the company’s growing fanbase on the social networking site, and their surge in bookings as many booking enquiries are now being generated through their page.
If you’re not already a fan of Limo Broker on Facebook, where’ve you been?! Be the first to hear about special offers, get free quotes for limo rides quickly and easily, and share your limo hire experiences with others by singing up today.
Limo Broker contradicts gloomy industry survey by reporting the most successful year to date
In a recent survey conducted by top industry magazine and website, The Chauffeur.com, the results indicated that a hefty proportion of those involved in the limo hire business had noted a decline in custom during the difficult period of 2009, whereas agent brokers within the industry seemed unaffected by the slump. The survey sought to gain a snapshot of how the luxury transport business was fairing during the economic downturn, and how these businesses feel about the future of the industry.

Limo Broker
Out of all the limo hire operators interviewed by The Chauffeur Magazine as part of the survey, 62% said they had noticed a marked slowdown in their business over the last 12 months. 50% of those who had reported a decrease in business said that they estimated that the number of their bookings had dropped by 25%, but 40% said they’d noted a 50% drop in bookings received through 2009.
However broker agents within the industry tell a very different story, with many reporting a surge in business as more and more people choose to shop around to find cheap deals for limo hire. One of the UK’s leading limo hire brokers, Limo Broker Ltd, seemed to buck the trend in 2009 and reported one of their busiest years ever. This marked contrast in fortunes between the independent limo operators and the brokers, could raise a question mark over the future of the limo hire firms as the broker agents gain more power within the business.
Limo Broker is also displaying encouraging signs for the New Year. The enquiry rate has been extremely high during January and the company have reported an increase in wedding car and wedding limo hire bookings for the coming summer season. Limo Broker’s January sale promotion which saw hire prices heavily reduced has also helped boost bookings.
Other results from The Chauffeur website survey revealed that limo hire operators are looking towards the future with optimism as 46% of those questioned saying that they were planning to invest in a new vehicle for the fleet within the next year.

Hummer H2 Limo Vandalised at St Bede’s Senior School, East Sussex
Over £1,000 worth of damage was caused to a top of the range Hummer H2 Limo as it drove through a street in Sussex. The luxury vehicle was on its way to an end of year school event for staff at St Bede’s boarding school when an unidentified youth threw at glass bottle at the limo as it drove by.
Unfortunately the unprovoked attack is not a one-off incident. The owner of the vehicle, Mr Nick Clarke, who runs the limo hire company Star Limousines explained that “Over the past two weeks we’ve suffered more than £3,000 worth of damage to our cars.”
This sharp rise in vandalism has prompted the company to invest in the latest CCTV technology to attempt to tackle this growing problem.
Police were called to the scene however the perpetrator had already fled the area. The Second Master of St. Bede’s School said the bottle-thrower was not believed to be a student with a grudge and that the incident was “nothing to do with our staff or students.”
The driver of the £100,000 Hummer H2 limo narrowly escaped injury as the glass Pimms bottle hit the vehicle, inches away from the driver’s window. Police are continuing their investigations although no one, as yet, has been arrested.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is being urged to contact PC Jessica Reynolds at Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999, quoting serial 2273 of July 3. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
