Lily dresses up as a limousine driver for new music video

Lily Allen has been known to sport some interesting get-ups in her time but in the video for her new single, Who’d Have Known, Lily takes on the guise of a limo chauffeur. However things take a distinctly odd turn as the disguised Lily kidnaps an Elton John lookalike and holds him captive in her house.

It’s fair to say that Lily and Elton are not the best of friends and have quarrelled publically in the past. The pair were joint hosts at last year’s G Q Men of The Year Awards and the ageing singer was none too impressed by Lily’s drinking. The Fear singer happily knocked back glass after glass of free champagne, much to the annoyance of Elt who is famously a teetotaller after battling addictions to drugs and drink in the early days of his career.

After Elton expressed concern when Lily tucked into yet another glass of champers she told him in no uncertain terms to “f*** off” Adding insult to injury by saying “I am 40 years younger than you and have my whole life ahead of me.”

Given the pair’s history, it’s no surprise the younger singer chose Elton as her victim in the new video. Lily poses as a sexy limo chauffeur in the music video in order to capture the Elton lookalike. After bounding and gagging him in her house she then forces the fake Elton to make a phone call admitting that he’s fallen in love with her. The real Elton has yet to respond to the news of the new video in which he is indirectly featured, but something tells us he won’t see the funny side of Lily’s antics!

Lily Allen is to quit music for good

Lily Allen has stunned music fans by announcing through an online blog that she is to quit music. The Smile singer wants to take her career in another direction and is looking into the possibility of pursuing her interests in acting.

Her current album, It’s Not Me It’s You, will be her last as she confirmed on the blog, “I have not renegotiated my record contract and have no plans to make another record.” The news may shock her fans but those close to Lily say she has been feeling unsure about her future in music for some time. A source close to the 24-year-old said she has described herself as feeling “old” when she looked at some of the fresh musical talent currently on the scene.

Lily used her blog on the site set up to fight illegal file sharing, It’s Not Alright, to announce the news. She has since closed her blog as a result of the “abuse” she was receiving because of it. In recent times Lily has been extremely vocal in her condemnation of music piracy sites branding them “the biggest threat to British music’s future.”

Not one to waste time, Lily has already lined up her first acting role, and it’s pretty substantial. She will appear in the London’s West End in a new production of Neil LaBute’s play, Reasons to be Pretty. With a father and brother already in the acting profession and a mother who works in film, Lily will have all the support she could possibly need to make a success of her new venture.

It has been confirmed that Lily has tour dates booked until March of next year so it’ll be a few months before Ms. Allen can officially draw a line under her musical career.
