Lady Ga Ga comes in for some stick after blood and gore stage show

Lady Ga Ga has come in for criticism this week for not toning down an attack scene in her tour show given recent events in Cumbria

Pop star Lady Ga Ga has come in for some serious stick this week after some of the audience members, who attended her Monster Ball concert in Manchester, were upset by the theme of blood and gore which featured in one of her routines.

It was felt by some Ga Ga fans that the scene, which saw the 24-year-old singer “attacked” by a number of dancers dressed in creepy black costumes, with one biting her neck and drawing blood, was insensitive given the tragic events which unfolded in the Lake District earlier this week.

One mother said that although she understood that a Lady Ga Ga show was likely to be outrageous given her wacky reputation, she still felt the Bad Romance singer had “crossed the line” with this latest stunt.

The pop star is in the middle of a gruelling world tour which has so far seen her take her show to Europe, Australia, the UK, and America. Ga Ga is about to head back out to the States later this month following a brief break in her touring schedule.

Despite the vast number of shows she’s already performed, the hard working singer has added yet more dates to her tour, one of which is during December at London’s O2 Arena. The introduction of the new dates for the Monster Ball Tour means Lady Ga Ga will be on the road right through until April 2011.

US pop starlet Lady Ga Ga achieved double chart success over the weekend when she scooped the number one spot with both her single Telephone and album The Fame.

The wacky singer’s number one single features another top US pop star, Beyonce. The track climbed 11 place to reach number one ending UK rapper Tinie Temper’s two-week run at the top with his debut single Pass Out.

Telephone is also a big hit across the pond with Ga Ga racking up her sixth consecutive number one in the US Billboard chart with the single.

Lady Ga Ga’s album The Fame rose 4 places to clinch this week’s number one slot. It’s the third time the record has achieved the top spot since its release.

The video for Telephone, starring both Ga Ga and former Destiny’s Child singer Beyonce, has received 22 million hits on internet site YouTube. It also caused a stir when it was first revealed as the full length version of the music video features a lesbian kiss, swearing, and has a theme of mass murder running throughout.

23-year-old Lady Ga Ga, who won every award she was nominated for at this year’s Brit Awards, is currently touring the world with her Monster Ball Tour.
