Ferrari limo spotted on Christmas shopping trip outside Harrods

red-ferrari-limo-large

The one-of-a-kind Ferrari limo, available for hire exclusively through Limo Broker, caused quite a stir when it rocked up in London’s swanky Knightsbridge yesterday to drop its passengers off for a spot of last minute Christmas shopping at Harrods. The luxury shopping trip to Harrods in the Ferrari limo was arranged by the UK’s leading limo hire operator, Limo Broker.

The stretch limo had a little bit of trouble finding a parking spot because of its extended length and so the chauffeur ended up pulling the attention grabbing limousine up right outside the doors to Harrods so his passengers could easily hop inside the luxury department store for their last minute Christmas shopping spree.

With room onboard for as a many as eight passengers, all comfortably seated in luxurious leather trim bucket seats, the Ferrari limousine is the ultimate vehicle to arrive onboard for a special shopping trip. Plus, thanks to its stretched shape which means the Ferrari measures a whopping 20 feet in length, there’s more than enough room onboard for all of your shopping bags.

The Ferrari limo is the only one of its kind in existence and was created by taking a regular Ferrari 360 sports car, cutting it in half and adding a limo style interior complete with eight seats to the middle of the vehicle. Due to its unique status, the Ferrari limo has attracted attention from around the world and has featured in a number of TV programmes including the BBC motoring show, Top Gear.

Not surprisingly, the Ferrari limo is in huge demand in all parts of the UK and is regularly hired for school proms, weddings, hen and stag parties, corporate events and of course, Christmas shopping trips.

John Lennon’s Ferrari to go under the hammer

john-lennon-ferrari

John Lennon’s Ferrari, the first car he ever owned, is to go under the hammer at Bonhams auction house early next month.

The bright blue 1965 Ferrari GT 2 & 2 Coupe was the first car he bought after passing his test. Lennon purchased the sports car in the same year the Beatles released their hit singles Ticket to Ride and Help.

According to reports from the 60’s, a number of luxury car manufacturers descended on the Beatles member with offers of cars when the news got out that he’d passed his test. Despite the generous offers from several top name car brands, Lennon opted for the sleek Ferrari in an unusual shade of blue costing £2,000 in 1965.

Although the legendary singer owned the Ferrari for less than a year, the sports car is expected to fetch between £120,000 and £170,000.

The most famous car owned by John Lennon was the Rolls Royce Phantom V Limo decorated in psychedelic colours. The bright yellow limousine was painted by a friend of Lennon’s with flower and leaf patterns. Lennon bought the Phantom in 1965, the same year as the he passed his test and purchased the Ferrari. The Rolls Royce is currently on display at the Royal BC Museum in Victoria, Canada.

The 1965 Ferrari is due to be sold at auction on February 4th at Bonhams, Paris.

The Ferrari Limo, Covini’s 6-wheel sports car and other top cars of 2010

Covini-C6W

Ferrari 350 F1 Limo2010 has seen some exciting additions to the world of motoring including the 6-wheel sports from Covini Engineering which has taken 32 years to create.

The only Ferrari limo in existence underwent a makeover this year with a complete colour re-spray turning it from black, to an eye-catching red, the shade most associated with the luxury car brand. The one-of-a-kind limousine is available to hire for a wide range of occasions across the UK exclusively through Limo Broker.

The Covini CV6 6-wheeled sports car is not available to hire yet, as the innovative vehicle only made its debut last month at the Racing Professional Motor Show in Bologna. Although the concept of a sports car with 6 wheels may seem revolutionary, the model was inspired by the 1976 Tyrell P34 Formula One racing car. Covini have been developing the concept for the last 32 years, and now the finished product is finally ready.

With a starting price reported to be £250,000, the CV6 certainly doesn’t come cheap. However you do get plenty for your money as the unusual sports car features sleek scissor doors, and boasts 440bhp with a 4.2 litre engine with a top speed of 180mph and the ability to go from 0-62mph in less than 5 seconds.

The 6-wheeled C6 is due to go on sale next year, while the Ferrari limousine is available to hire from Limo Broker right now.

October this year saw the latest Domino’s Pizza store open its doors in Pontyclun, South Wales, and Limo Broker were proud to be at the centre of proceedings having provided the new outlet with the use of one of their sleekest Ferrari 360 Spider. Click here to view images and video of the Domino’s Pizza Ferrai vinyl wrap.

The new store opening went ahead with great fanfare as scores of local people turned out to see Welsh Rugby Captain Ryan Jones cut the ribbon and announce the new outlet officially open.

A top of the range Ferrari Spyder 360 provided the centrepiece to the grand opening of the new Domino’s Pizza outlet. The sports car had undergone a full vinyl wrap especially for the occasion with a giant Domino’s Pizza box branded across the bonnet, and pizza images and Domino’s logos across the rear of the vehicle.

The use of the speedy Ferrari in the new Domino’s Pizza store’s advertising campaign is to demonstrate the outlet’s dedication to providing the fastest pizza delivery service in South Wales (while staying within speed restrictions, of course!)

Before undergoing its Domino’s makeover, the Ferrari convertible featured a sophisticated black exterior and was an extremely popular choice of wedding car for grooms and their best men. The luxury sports car was also available for self-drive hire through Limo Broker for a variety of occasions and events in the South Wales area.

However for the next two months the unique Ferrari will be working exclusively for Domino’s Pizza Pontyclun helping to get the message out loud and clear that the new store is open and ready for business.

Hired Ferrari wedding car crashed by the groom on his way to the reception

ferrari-gto

A Ferrari hired as a wedding car is a possible write off after the groom crashed into traffic lights

A groom hired a top of the range red Ferrari as his wedding car with the idea of whisking his new wife away to their reception in style, but the £130,000 supercar never made it to the end of the street after veering off the road and smashing into a set of traffic lights.

The bride and groom, who have not been named, had just exchanged their wedding vows in Treviso, North Italy, and had only driven a few yards down the road en route to their reception, when the groom lost control and ploughed into the traffic lights.

In order to hire the luxury supercar, it’s likely the pair would have had to have laid down a hefty deposit, somewhere in the region of £20,000, before being allowed to drive off in the impressive motor. Following the crash, the newlyweds will have to kiss that money goodbye as the cost of repairing the damage to the Ferrari, if it is possible to repair it at all, is likely to cost approximately £60,000 say experts.

Ferraris are synonymous with glamour and decadence and for that reason, these exquisite vehicles are extremely popular for wedding car hire. Limo Broker is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of wedding cars and has several Ferraris within its fleet, including the one-of-a-kind Ferrari Limo, which is always in demand for wedding hire.

The police have ruled out drink-driving as a possible cause for the accident, as neither the bride nor the groom had consumed alcohol prior to the incident.

Ferrari 350 F1 Limo

Ferrari 350 F1 Limo

Having recently undergone a make-over, the limo was transformed from black to red, the colour synonymous with the iconic Ferrari brand. Videos of the stunning Ferrari limo on YouTube have also helped to raise the profile of the vehicle opening it up to a whole new fan base. The HD video clip gives a full view of both the exterior and interior of the limo, and even a glimpse of the authentic Ferrari engine. See the following link for more details the Ferrari 360 limo.

For the all-important mechanics of the limo, only the best would do. Cawley therefore commissioned Carbonyte UK, the team who pioneered the Hot Fusion Composite Manufacturing Technology used on the McLaren SLR supercar, to work on the Ferrari engine.

The result is astounding. The Ferrari limo offers all of the comfort and luxury you’d associate with a stretch limousines, coupled with all the power and speed of a supercar. The limo is capable of reaching top speeds of 180mph, something unheard of in most other limousines, and boasts 400BHP (break horse power).

Lookalike Stig chauffeur drives Derby groom on his wedding day

One groom from Derby received an extra memorable wedding gift on his big day. Bride Jennifer Skidmore arranged for a Stig lookalike, the character famous for test driving fast cars on TV show Top Gear, to chauffeur her husband-to-be in a sleek red Ferrari as a special surprise.

The novel gift came as a complete shock to groom Richard who hadn’t a clue he was about to be chauffeur driven in a Ferrari by a well-known face from, British TV, albeit a lookalike. Richard travelled in the Ferrari wedding car along with his best man and his 7-year-old son Joshua. The groom said that both he and his son are big fans of Top Gear so it was the perfect way to arrive at the church.

The groom and his attendants were completely unaware of what was about to happen after they were instructed by the bride to be in their local pub at 10am. 34-year-old Richard said the Ferrari and its famous driver certainly gained them plenty of attention from the other drinkers at the pub in Ripley.

The surprise certainly had the desired effect, and the new Mrs Skidmore was delighted she’d managed to pull off the stunt, as she said: “I wanted to get a wedding present Richard would remember forever and having The Stig lookalike there was brilliant.”
