Jay-Z said to be keen to help Cheryl crack the US

Just after announcing his plans to help launch UK band the Ting Tings in the US, Jay-Z has spotted another British talent to give a helping hand to. Jay-Z has accompanied his wife Beyonce to the UK as she performs her I…Am tour and seems to be taking an active interest in the British music scene during his trip.  

The rapper is said to have become aware of the Girls Aloud singer after Beyonce performed on the X-factor last year where Cheryl is part of the judging panel. The 26-year-old’s solo career has taken off in a big way after securing a number one single with Fight For This Love and also a number one album with her debut release, 3 Words.

It seems hopes of US stardom may not be such as distant dream as Jay-Z, who has recently launched a new record label Roc Nation, is reported to be very interested in giving the Geordie singer a leg up across the pond.

Cheryl has already formed a solid relationship with one high profile US celebrity after Black Eyed Peas singer, Will. I. Am, was the executive producer on her new album and also collaborated with her on one of the new tracks.

The interest from Jay-Z is extra thrilling for Cheryl as she’s reported to be a massive fan of the US rapper and to hear he’s approves of her music has “totally made her year” a friend has said, before adding that to have Jay-Z’s support is “beyond her wildest dreams.”
