Two excitable fans who watched the X-Factor winner Joe McElderry perform on the live X-Factor tour in Aberdeen this week just couldn’t bear to see him go; so they hid in the boot of his chauffeur driven 4×4 for three hours.
The two female fans were desperate to meet their idol and to get an autograph to they decided to take drastic action by distracting the chauffeur and concealing themselves in the boot of the car. The 4×4 is Joe’s designated car for the tour which is currently showing at a whole host of venues across the UK.
The girls remained hidden in the boot for three hours whilst the X-Factor winner enjoyed a celebratory drink with crew members after the gig.
According to a source, 15 minutes into Joe’s journey back to his hotel he was alerted to the girl’s presence in the boot when he heard giggling. The X-Factor winner was said to have been “stunned – not to mention a little freaked out” to find the two girls concealed in the boot.
However smuggling themselves in the boot of the 4×4 seemed to work a treat as kind-hearted Geordie Joe was more than happy to sign autographs for them and ensured they got home safely after their adventure.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell is currently in hiding after her limo chauffeur accused her of slapping and punching him yesterday.
Naomi’s chauffeur alleges that the 39-year-old model attacked him whilst he was driving through the streets of New York yesterday afternoon. The London born supermodel was travelling in the back of the black Cadillac Escalade limo when she became angry and hit out at the chauffeur.
The chauffeur then pulled the limo off the road and called the police. It was at this point that Ms Campbell escaped from the vehicle and made off on foot.
It is not known exactly what triggered the violent outburst, although there are claims that the model flew into a rage as she believes that the driver, who was previously employed by her boyfriend Vlad Doronin, helped cover up Doronin’s indiscretions whilst in his employment.
A spokesperson for Ms Campbell says: “Naomi will cooperate voluntarily, and there is more to this story than meets the eye.”
The chauffeur is not pressing charges so it’s unlikely that the case will be taken any further. However the supermodel has form when it comes to violent episodes. Three years ago she pleaded guilty to assaulting her maid, and also admitted abusive behaviour towards the police at Heathrow Airport after she lost her temper when she discovered her luggage had been lost.

The estranged couple both attended the after show party for the premiere of the new Tim Burton movie, Alice in Wonderland. Avril sings the title song for the film, Alice (underground), which was produced by her ex Whibley.
Since announcing their split last October the couple have been living separate lives with Avril being linked to a number of eligible bachelors such as The Hill’s star Brody Jenner, and oil heir Brandon Davis.
However their late night limo ride last Thursday may signal a reunion between the divorcing duo. They were snapped by photographers leaving the event in the early hours, they then travelled to the same London hotel.

Mayor’s chauffeur, Mike Crannage, will be getting to grips with a very different vehicle when he undertakes his latest fundraising expedition.
The 51-year-old chauffeur usually spends his days driving the mayor of Dudley to his formal engagements. However the Jag will now be swapped for a pack of huskies and a sleigh when the energetic chauffeur embarks on his gruelling arctic challenge in Northern Norway this March.
Mr Crannage will put his chauffeur duties on hold for seven days as he tackles his new challenge. The course will see the 51-year-old travel across a 250 kilometre course through freezing conditions where temperatures often plummet to -30c. The chauffeur from Dudley will be expected to put in 8-10 hour days mostly running alongside the huskies, and steering the sleigh through the rough terrain.
The gruelling trip requires plenty of physical stamina and fitness, something Mr Crannage has in bucket loads. Coming from an army background, the mayor’s attendant is accustomed to hard work, and enjoys keeping fit by running marathons regularly.
All of the money raised from the expedition will be donated to the Mayor of Dudley’s favoured causes. Mr Crannage has previously raised money for the Mayor’s charities, namely Dudley Stroke Association, and Dudley Mind and The Open Stage Learning Group.

3 arrested from Lincoln Towncar limo in the USA
Police arrest chauffeur and two passengers onboard a limo in Baltimore
Police in Baltimore, US, stopped a chauffeur driven Lincoln Towncar after witnessing one of its passengers acting suspiciously. As the police pulled the vehicle over, one of the party onboard the limo was said to have thrown a loaded semi-automatic handgun out of the vehicle.
A spokesman for the police revealed that officers had noticed a man down an alleyway at approximately 9:30pm on Tuesday night “exhibiting characteristics of an armed person.” Upon realising he was being watched by police, the suspect then quickly made his way back to a waiting black stretch limo, and drove away.
It wasn’t long before the police caught up with the limousine and pulled the vehicle over for questioning. At this point, one of the passengers onboard attempted to discard the weapon by tossing it out of the limo.
The police proceeded to search the Lincoln Towncar and found Marijuana onboard. Police arrested 23-year-old Cornell Moor for hand-gun related offences and for possession with intent to supply. The limo chauffeur and another passenger in the limousine were also arrested with drug related offences connected to the substance found onboard.
It is not known whether the Lincoln Towncar was a rented limo, or whether it belonged to the suspect.
Limo hire driver in Somerset caught out by licensing officials
South Somerset District Council clamp down on rogue limo drivers
South Somerset District Council uncovered a private hire and limo driver working without a valid license and insurance in Somerset. The alarm was raised by members of the public who reported that the driver had been speeding and many complained that his vehicle was un-roadworthy.
Following an in-depth investigation by the council, it was revealed that the limo driver in question did not have any of the necessary paperwork in place to operate a passenger service. As well as this the driver was also found to have committed a catalogue of other offences.
The council and London’s Public Carriage office joined forces to catch the rogue driver in the act. The authorities caught the driver red handed as he transported a passenger from Yeovil to Heathrow Airport despite not having a license for his vehicle, a private hire license or even the necessary insurance documents.
At court the drive was given a 12 month conditional discharge, a criminal record, 6 penalty points and ordered to pay £1,500 towards the council’s costs. Environmental health spokesman for South Somerset Council, Cllr Ric Pallister, issued a warning to any other private hire drivers out there who may be operating outside the law saying: “This council and its partners will actively pursue drivers who operate outside the law.” Adding, “We will not tolerate anything less – safety is paramount.”

As the true extent of Mr O’Donoghue’s luxury travel expenses were revealed, it became clear that a tighter rein was needed on the public purse. In one instance it emerged that for a day trip to Cheltenham races back in 2007, a chauffeur driven limo had been hired to provide a 24-hour service for the government official at a cost of €1,400 a day. In a separate incident the former speaker racked up a bill of €472 for a limo to transfer him between two London airports when a free bus service had been laid on for passengers to take them on the 3 minute trip.
Given this recent history, the news that the embassy have invested in a 7 seater people carrier will be welcomed by many. Following the high profile scandal it has now been ruled that no chauffeur driven limos will be hired for use by officials unless there are “compelling business reason” which warrant doing so. So it appears that the days of chauffeur driven luxury limousines are well and truly behind the Irish politicians as all visitors to the embassy will be transported either using the official car, or the second string people carrier.
