Britney "upset" over reports of fans walking out of her performance in Perth

Britney Spears’s Circus tour caused controversy in Australia before it even opened when the newspapers revealed that the 27-year-old would not be singing live on stage. Now reports have emerged claiming angry fans walked out of a Britney concert in Perth branding her performance “boring” and “lacklustre.”

The woman at the centre of the storm, Britney Spears, is said to be deeply upset by the comments according to her tour promoter Paul Dainty. He said the singer is distressed by the situation because “she’s a human being” adding that the reports of an audience walkabout are untrue and an example of “inaccurate reporting.”

Britney’s tour promoter also defended the singer’s lip-synching explaining that fans were made aware that parts of the show would be mimed due to a demanding dance routine. Mr Dainty said the show is about creating “an incredible spectacle” which is exactly what he thinks they’ve achieved.

However some fans weren’t impressed with the dance routines saying they didn’t make up for the lack of singing and subsequently demanded a refund. One fan said, “We were led to believe that the lip-synching was necessary as her dancing was so good, so rigorous, she couldn’t possibly sing. But her moves were sloppy and stiff, as well as out of time.”

In contrast to this, thousands of other music-lovers who attended the same concert posted congratulatory messages on Britney’s Twitter page and personal website praising her performance. The management team at the venue where the concert was held have said that they have not received any complaints regarding the show.
