The Single Ladies singer was left shaken after her car was hit by a black cab in London

Singing superstar Beyonce was said to have been shaken after narrowly avoiding serious injury when a black cab ploughed into the side of her chauffeur driven Mercedes limo while out shopping in London.

The former Destiny’s Child singer was reported to have been stepping out of the Silver Mercedes-Benz when a taxi came careering around the corner, smashing into the open door ripping it from its hinges. One onlooker said the cab had missed the Grammy-award-winning singer by inches.

It’s understood that Beyonce’s husband, the rap star Jay-Z, was also travelling onboard the chauffeur driven limo at the time of the collision. The crash happened just outside of the London’s world famous department store, Harrods, as the A-list couple had planned to stop off for a spot of retail therapy.

Following the accident the twosome decided to postpone their Harrods shopping trip, and instead sped away in a replacement chauffeur driven car to nearby Japanese restaurant, Zuma in Knightsbridge.

There were no reported injuries as a result of the crash although the singer was said to be visibly shaken. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class sustained substantial damage.

The celebrity couple have been in the UK for a few weeks now while rapper Jay-Z performs at a number of dates across the country. Beyonce has been travelling with her husband and was spotted watching Jay perform from the side of the stage at the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park over the weekend.
