Katie Price has ended months of speculation over the state of her marriage to cage fighter Alex Reid by releasing a lengthy statement confirming their relationship is over.

A 600 word statement was released via Katie’s management last night in which the former glamour model referred to her 11-month long marriage to Reid as a “mistake” and something she rushed into.

The couple got together after being introduced at Katie Price’s pal Michelle Heaton’s Birthday party, just weeks after the mother of three split from her first husband Peter Andre. The reality TV star quickly moved her new man into the family home.

After just 9 months of dating, Katie and Alex wed in a quickie Las Vegas ceremony. The couple were due to celebrate their first wedding anniversary on February 2nd.

In the official statement, the 32 year old blames her estranged husband’s desire to promote himself in the public eye for the breakdown of their marriage saying it changed the dynamic of their relationship. The model also alluded to the couple’s failed attempts to conceive a baby via IVF which was reported to have put a strain on the marriage.

The cage fighter was pictured looking visibly upset as he moved out of the Surrey mansion he had shared with Katie, also known as Jordan. Alex was then seen moving back into his parents’ family home.

Writing on her Twitter blog this morning, the reality TV star thanked her fans for their support during this “sad time” but refused to comment any further.

At her last wedding in 2005 to Peter Andre, Katie Price sparked a trend in wedding transportation after arriving at her big day in a Cinderella inspired horse drawn carriage.

However the fairytale mode of transport was sidelined this time round as the former glamour model opted for a blacked out van inspired by the 80’s TV show The A-Team to get her to the church on time for her wedding blessing to Alex Reid on Saturday.

The wedding car was one of the only details from the day to be revealed as Katie Price and her new husband Alex Reid went to great lengths to keep their wedding blessing under wraps after signing a lucrative deal with ITV for the exclusive rights to the nuptials.

As the A-Team van carrying the bride pulled up at the small church in the Surrey village of Woldhingham, huge white sheets were held up to conceal the mother-of-three as she left her wedding car and made her way into the church and down the  aisle.

In true diva style, the reality TV star kept her cage fighter husband and wedding guests waiting after arriving two hours late.

The blacked out windows on the A-Team inspired van were to prevent the waiting paparazzi from getting snaps of the bride. However trouble broke out at one point when an overzealous photographer desperate for a picture of Katie, had to be rugby tackled to the floor by the security staff after getting too close. The police were later called to deal with the incident.

After having their wedding blessed, the happy couple hopped onboard their retro wedding van and headed to the reception which was held in a marquee in the grounds of Katie’s £2.5 million Surrey home.

Katie Price decided to uphold the tradition of hiring a flashy limo to celebrate her hen do over the weekend. The 32-year-old glamour model treated 15 of her nearest and dearest gals pals, including her mother Amy and daughter Princess, to a chauffeur driven limo ride to a Botox and beauty clinic, surprise, surprise!

For a woman who made her name through her surgically enhanced assets, her choice of venue for her hen party certainly seemed appropriate. The white stretch hummer limo transported the gaggle of 15 hens from Katie’s home in Sussex, to the Nilam Patel Botox and Beauty Clinic in Milton Keynes.

The hens were dressed down in jeans and tracksuit bottoms, all sporting a black t-shirt with “Kate’s Hen Do” emblazoned on the front in diamantes, with each of their names on the back. The group posed for photographs in front of the hummer limo before heading inside the clinic for a spot of relaxation and a few treatments.

Traditionally the hen party is meant to come before the wedding, however in this case the bride and groom are already hitched. Katie married cage fighter Alex Reid in a quickie ceremony in Las Vegas at the beginning of the year.

The couple are holding a summer blessing next month so they can celebrate their union with their family and friends.  It is the 32-year-old’s second marriage as she was previously married to Peter Andre. The pair announced their split in May 2009.

The race is now on to see who will be crowned the winner of the last ever Celebrity Big Brother with the final due to take place tonight.

Despite entering the house as the favourite to win, hardman Vinnie Jones has slipped down to third place in the bookies’ ranking after his overbearing behaviour on show saw some viewers turn their back on him.

In an unexpected turn of events Katie Price’s on/off boyfriend, cage fighter Alex Reid has positively blossomed in the house. Before appearing on the show, Reid was unpopular with the public and was badly booed whilst entering the house. However within the space of just three weeks, he seems to have turned public opinion around and is now the odds-on favourite to win.

Another former squeeze of Katie Price, singer Dane Bowers, is firmly in the running to walk away with the winner’s title. Bowers is currently second in line, according to the bookies, to win the last ever series of CBB.

Actress Stephanie Beacham is ranked outsider to win, and the most likely to face the chop first tonight. However there has been speculation that she could follow in the footsteps of last year’s winner, Ulrika Johnson, and scoop a late win. Ranking fourth in line for the title is singer/songwriter and record producer Basshunter, real name, Jonas.

It was bound to happen at some point but things have turned nasty between Peter Andre and his estranged wife’s new man, Alex Reid. The two men are said to have clashed during a telephone conversation this week when Pete called to speak to his children whom he hadn’t had contact with for 5 days.

Katie was said to be annoyed with Pete and handed the phone over to Alex when things started to boil over. Alex is reported to have told the Aussie singer that he was “the man of the house now” and a heated exchanged ensued in which Alex claims Pete called him a tranny after the revelations in the tabloids recently that the cage fighter is a fan of dressing up in women’s clothes.

However Pete strongly denied using this slur during an interview on This Morning today. He also expressed anger that the whole episode was made public saying that, “within minutes it was up on Facebook” and a matter of this nature should remain private.

Katie Price has also joined in the row today claiming that Pete threatened Alex saying “I’m gonna break your f***ing legs” during the bust-up. Pete admitted to having lost his temper saying that issues relating to his kids “push his buttons” and he was devastated at not being allowed to speak to his own children.

If you’re of a delicate disposition stop reading now, or grab yourself a bucket. Katie Price’s new squeeze Alex Reid has spoken out about his love for her, admitting he tells her he loves her “50 million times a day.” Other romantic activities undertaken by the love-birds include spending hours looking into each other’s eyes “just staring without talking or saying anything.”

To his credit the former Hollyoaks actor doesn’t deny the fact that his new relationship has boosted his profile significantly, however he emphatically denies it was a motive for getting together with the recently single mum-of-three. As well as enhancing his public image, the media attention has had a negative effect on 34 year-old Reid; a Sunday tabloid recently revealed stills taken from a hard-core sex film  in which he had a starring role, the footage is described as being “vile and degrading.”

Katie’s ex-husband, Peter Andre, always maintained he loved Katie but disliked Jordan. With a nod to this comment, Alex said he accepts both sides of his new bird’s personality. He believes there’s “no difference” between the two personas and he sees her “as one person.” During the interview he also spoke of his fondness for Katie’s children, something which is guaranteed to enrage Pete who is a very protective of his brood.

And poor Pete continues to get a battering, this time from his estranged wife. Talking about her new relationship she took the opportunity to take a side-ways swipe at her ex saying “Alex is better in bed than I’m used to.” So the love-up couple continue to wallow in their new found bliss with Alex choosing to end his interview with the epic cliché “I’ve never felt like this before. Ever.”

jordanThe sun had obviously gone to Katie Price’s head this week as she is reported to have propositioned her chauffeur in front of her boyfriend. It seemed Katie was so impressed with the Brazilian driver’s muscled physique that she asked him “Do you fancy a threesome?”

The handsome driver, named Saul, was her chauffeur whilst she holidayed in Malaga with new love, the cage fighter Alex Reid. The cheeky model made the brash comment during one of their outings on the sun soaked resort. Understandably the saucy suggestion didn’t go down too well with the mother of three’s latest boyfriend who was said to have got very “grumpy” after the incident.

A source close to Alex Reid said the martial arts expert was getting increasingly frustrated with the amount of “attention she (Katie) paid other men.” Her behaviour towards the hunky chauffeur was particularly outrageous with her even going as far as “getting her kit off in front of him.” As an extra dig, Katie even joked that the driver’s muscles were bigger than Reid’s after having a good feel of his biceps.

Following her outburst, the atmosphere seemed decidedly frosty between the new love-birds. They were photographed eating breakfast in silence on the balcony of their luxury hotel apartment. It’s in huge contrast to other reports this week; Katie, aka Jordan, hit the headlines after been snapped cavorting topless around the hotel pool with her new stud (Reid, not the chauffeur!)

Meanwhile Katie’s estranged husband Peter Andre, who’s taking care of their 3 children whilst she holidays in Malaga, treated the kiddies to an afternoon strawberry picking. 31-year-old Katie couldn’t resist having a swipe at her recent ex posting a comment on her Twitter site which read “STRAWBERRY PICKING…WHAT NEXT!!?”

katie_priceSupport for Katie Price has been thin on the ground recently and pulling stunts like this won’t be doing her any favours. The ex-glamour model failed to show at her Bournemouth book signing on Saturday claiming to be “bedridden” with swine flu symptoms. However she seemed to have made a remarkable recovery as she was photographed at Heathrow Airport in the early hours of this morning with new boyfriend, Alex Reid.

Katie, also known as Jordan, has enjoyed endless holidays since her estranged husband, Peter Andre, called time on their three and a half year marriage this May. Her wild behaviour on the party island of Ibiza will be the subject of her forthcoming ITV2 series which has been following her life since the break-up.

This latest getaway is set to be a short break as Katie’s publicist confirmed she is back in the U.K on Thursday for more promotional work. The mum of three has been promoting her latest ghost-written book “Sapphire” in a string of cities across the country. Angry fans in Bournemouth where Katie failed to show on Saturday were so furious they tore up copies of the book in protest.

It is believed the new couple are heading to Malaga to soak up the sun. The pair have been spotted looking very cosy on nights out in Manchester and Liverpool. Katie’s management have claimed that the model relies on the ex-cage fighter for security. Whether Katie’s interest in the martial arts expert is down to his abilities as a bodyguard or not, the couple have certainly been inseparable for the past few weeks with Alex even accompanying her on her book signing tour.
