Over the past three years Cameron Douglas is said to have built up quite a business for himself. He would receive large quantities of the drug in California and have it couriered via FedEx to New York where he would distribute the highly dangerous substance to his expanding client base. Between 2006 and 2009 it’s believed Cameron sold tens of thousands of dollars worth of the addictive drug, which he code-named “pastry” and “salt”, creaming a nice profit for himself in the process.
Cameron Douglas, the son of Oscar-winning actor Michael Douglas is facing a possible life sentence after being caught dealing the illegal drug methamphetamine. The 30-year-old occasional actor was arrested at a Manhattan hotel on July 28th and is facing two counts of possessing and dealing the substance also known as crystal meth.
This isn’t the first time Michael’s wayward son has been caught on the wrong side of the law. In 2007 he was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine in Santa Barbara. However his latest stunt could cost him dearly as he faces a minimum 10 year sentence for possession and a further maximum sentence of life imprisonment for two counts of possessing and distributing.
This is all rather embarrassing for his father, Michael, who was recently involved with a project in conjunction with the U.S Drug Enforcement Administration.
No court date has been announced as yet, and it is not known if Cameron Douglas has been granted bail.
