Fire destroys limo hire offices in Pennsylvania
Limousine rental offices catch fire in the US
A ferocious fire has swept through a limo hire company office in Ontelaunee, Pennsylvania in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The office is said to have been attached to another larger building which housed a fleet of delivery trucks.
Fire fighters were first alerted to the blaze by one of the limo hire employees who discovered the fire when he turned up for work at approximately 5.15am. Almost 100 fire fighters were called in to tackle the inferno and to prevent it from spreading to the neighbouring buildings.
Officials said that no one was injured or harmed in the fire. Extra fire fighters were drafted in as it was feared that the depot next to the limo hire office, which was packed full of delivery lorries, would also catch fire. A fire crew member said that at one point, the flames from building were shooting high into the air. However with the extra manpower, the fire was brought under control in less than an hour.
The limo offices and the equipment within such as their computers have been badly damaged in the blaze, however the limousines themselves were left untarnished. The boss of the limo hire company vowed that they would be “going on as normal.”
A full investigation is now underway to try and establish the cause of the fire.
