
Woman in the US taken to hospital after falling out of a moving limo following a night out
A 21-year-old women was airlifted to hospital over the weekend after falling out of a moving limousine in Castle Rock, Colorado.
The female reveller was taken to hospital after the limo chauffeur heard a noise, and turned around to find the limousine door open, and the passenger missing. The accident occurred at approximately 2:30 am on Saturday, the woman was the only passenger travelling onboard at the time as the rest of the party had already been dropped off.
The limousine was estimated to have been travelling at a speed of 40mph when the female passenger was thought to have tumbled from the vehicle. The woman has been named as Celeste Bennett and is has been reported that she had been drinking prior to the incident.
The 53-year-old limousine chauffeur described how he had been alerted to the problem after hearing a strange noise from the back of the limo. After turning around to see what had caused the sound, he noticed that the passenger was no longer travelling onboard.
The authorities suspect the young female had either fallen accidentally from the limo, or had been attempting to get out of the moving vehicle for an unknown reason.
After being airlifted to hospital, the limo passenger received medical treatment. Her injuries were not said to be life threatening and she is now recovering.
