The unique vehicle was part of the original Jackson auction catalog that was set to be sold in April.
But now it seems the price of Michael Jackson’s stretched Rolls Royce Silver Seraph is impossible to estimate. The cost of all Jackson memorabilia has shot through the roof according to the Associated Press, and what’s more precious than a Limo with an interior that was designed by the King of Pop himself?
The car was set to be auctioned in April as part of Julien’s Auctions at the Beverley Hills Hilton, but a dispute halted the auction and the items, including the limo, were never sold.
The singer’s death triggered a surge in the Jackson collectibles market. By as early as Friday morning, hastily designed T-shirts emblazoned with the words “R.I.P.” and “June 25, 2009″ alongside his image were available online. On Friday afternoon, an Internet search for Jackson items turned up more than 24,000 offerings; there was a rush on all auction sites with buyers particularly drawn to the fixed-price “buy-it-now” items.
In addition to surging volume, EBay reported the average selling price for Jackson items jumped 31 percent on Thursday from daily averages the previous week. For example, a fedora hat signed by the man himself was being offered at $9,795.
So if Jackson’s hat is valued at almost $10,000 what do you suppose his Rolls Royce Silver Seraph is worth?
The original auction catalog value of the limo was between $140,000 – $160,000, but now how it’s anyone’s guess.

Simon Cowell preparing to quit the X Factor?

simon-cowellReports are circulating that Simon Cowell is set to the leave the X Factor. It comes after speculation that the music mogul is in talks with retail Billionaire Sir Phillip Green to set up a new business venture.

Cowell’s publicist Max Clifford commented on the situation and explained that the pair have been “good friends for a long time.” He added fuel to the fire by saying “there’s a good chance they’ll be working together.”

Auditions for this year’s X Factor are already taking place up and down the country with all judges, including Cowell, taking part in the proceedings. The judging panel remains the same as last year with Danni Minogue and Cheryl Cole in the girls corner and Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell completing the picture. There has been a major change in the audition procedure this year. For the very first time, contestants are required to audition in front of a live audience, following in the format of Britain’s Got Talent.

The news of Simon Cowell’s possible departure from the ITV smash hit is not wholly surprising. As far back as last year 49-year-old Cowell was quoted as saying “It looks like I’m only going to be doing it until 2010. I’ve really felt it this year. When you do three shows a year it’s tiring and something’s got to give.”

The comedian will be performing for two consecutive nights at the Trent FM Arena Nottingham.

On both October 23rd and October 24th, fans of Izzard’s intelligent and quirky style will be able to see him on his Stripped tour.

He is in demand following success in Hollywood films such as Valkyrie with Tom Cruise and Ocean’s 12 with Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

However, it is stand up that he is most renowned for, being voted at number three in a 100 Greatest Comedians list in 2007.
