Quantum of Solace set for October premiere

Celebrities and film buffs will be making their limousine hire bookings in plenty of time for the hotly anticipated premiere of Quantum of Solace this month.

The latest addition to the James Bond franchise will be showing in Leicester Square on October 29th 2008, although crowds are expected to gather much earlier.

This will be only the second outing for Daniel Craig as MI6 spy 007, following the highly acclaimed success of Casino Royale.

And it looks as if fans will not be disappointed with the latest episode in the Bond saga, which looks set to be filled with as many gut-busting stunts as the last instalment.

Actor Daniel Craig has been the first to admit the physically demanding nature of his role in Quantum of Solace, which picks up where Casino Royale left off.

He told the Daily Star: "I got tagged in a fight sequence and needed 8 stitches. Plastic surgery? Give it five years."

But ever the committed professional, the battered and bruised Craig will be expected at the film's premiere, claiming that the physical scars come with the territory.

"‘It’s what happens when you do something like this," he said.
