Car Hire Company launches new pay-as-you-go scheme

new pay-as-you-go scheme for car hire company

The U.K’s biggest car hire company, Europcar, has launched a new pay-as-you-go system for both van and car hire to entice more business customers. In this time of economic uncertainty small and medium sized enterprises (SME’s) are becoming increasingly reluctant to commit themselves to long term contracts; this new system hopes to go some way to resolving this issue.

The Managing Director of Europcar, Catriona Lougher, explained the new scheme in detail: “With the future looking so uncertain, pay as you go car and van hire makes a lot of sense enabling businesses to respond quickly to opportunities without being tied into longer term contracts. Crucially we have removed potential barriers such as credit checks and improved access to vehicles with free delivery and collection for less frequent customers to make car and van hire much more convenient.”

Europcar is certainly pulling out all the stops in a bid to attract new business customers. They are offering free delivery within a 10 mile radius of a depot on any vehicle ordered. As an added incentive, companies can pre-pay for their van or car hire and receive a lower rate than paying on delivery.

SME’s are also offered a fixed 15% reduction off standard rates regardless of how frequently or infrequently they require car hire. Alternatively, if you require vehicle hire on a regular basis, Europcar offers SME’s the opportunity to open a Business Account which will guarantee these customers a special fixed rate.

Europcar hopes that by working alongside businesses they can create tailor made, cost effective car hire packages which cater to individual company needs. This flexible approach to car hire is sure to open up a wide range of opportunities and may prompt other car hire firms to re-think their business customer’s needs.
