Avril Lavigne said to have split from husband
Avril Lavigne and her husband of three years, Deryck Whibley are said to have split. It is claimed in a U.S paper that Avril instigated the break up and will be filing for divorce from her Sum 41 star hubby.
A source close to Avril said the singer has moved out of the $9.5 million estate in Los Angeles which she shared with Deryck. The friend is quoted as saying: “She dumped him and told him she was leaving. She wants to move on.”
According to reports her rocker husband is “crushed” by the decision. However there hasn’t been any word from either party to confirm or deny the rumours.
Speculation has been mounting in recent weeks over the state of the marriage. There were whispers that things were strained between the pair as Deryck was keen to start a family but Avril was extremely reluctant. His persistence on the matter only succeeded in pushing the Complicated singer further away and a source said she has “been partying ever since.”
Avril was pictured out and about last week looking preened and styled as she promoted her new clothing range, Abbey Dawn.
