The car manufacturer, Aston Martin, has released a video which includes 28 different cars being tested in the Welsh countryside.
The luxury car brand told the three drivers that feature in the video to have fun, models included in the video dating across their successful 104-year history. The company have described the video as a “once in a lifetime” opportunity.
Additionally, the stars involved in the making of the video were Wales rugby legends Scott Williams, Ken Owens and Scott Quinnell. During the short film the stars play mischievous security guards. Furthermore, professional drivers Darren Turner, Nicki Thim and Chief Engineer Matt Becker all made an appearance.
The release of the seven-minute film is to mark the transfer of ownership of the three super hangers at St Athan.
In the opening of the video we can see the three drivers testing some makes from Aston Martin range on a road in the Vale of Glamorgan. This is taking place while an original version on Calon Lan is being played. We can later see them trying out numerous cars after they “broke in” to a hanger.
The video includes an appearance from the DBR1, the A3, the One-77, and a vast range of Rapide S, Vantages and the Aston Martin Vulcan. Each hanger that features in the video were originally built for the Ministry of Defence, although have been left empty for a while.
However, Aston Martin are reportedly happy with the amount of hangers they had to choose from as it gave them a fabulous opportunity to show off their range of vehicles.
At the very end of the video the audience can see the drivers have their eyes on three additional cars. However, their plan is put-to-bed when they are noticed by Aston Martin President and CEO, Andy Palmer. The audience are left unknown to what has gone on, but the last shot is of the three mischievous security guards visibly cleaning up their mess.
