Limo stolen by 12-year-old in the US this week
A 12-year-old boy from Gastonia, North Carolina, led police on a high speed chase last week after making off with a stolen Lincoln Town Car. However this was just one of the vehicles the youth had managed to steal during his night of hell-raising. The first car taken was a Saturn Sedan which was found completely wrecked next to the spot from where the Lincoln Town Car was taken.
The chase took place in the early hours of the morning after police were alerted to the tearaway after he crashed into a house. The residents called the police but the boy had already fled the scene. The house was said to have been hit with such force that experts had to be called in to check whether the building was still structurally safe.
One eye-witness who saw the boy passing in the stolen Lincoln Town Car noticed that “he couldn’t even see over the dashboard.” The minor is said to have caused a great deal of damage during his joy-riding spree. Not only did he damage a number of other vehicles as he sped erratically around the streets of the city, he also rammed a police patrol car as it attempted to block his path.
Once the boy was surrounded by police, he tried to make a run for it leaving the stolen limo behind. He was later captured by police and has undergone questioning, however no other details have been released due to the young age of the boy.
